Lego+Starwars= Greatest combination since peanut butter and jelly. Nothing greater than watching imperial officers with the patented lego perma-smile shooting at ewoks. excellent.

If the Bionicle movies are any indication (particularly the second, which was far better than the first), Lego's got some pretty good connections in the film industry, and this movie will be worth seeing.

Somehow I'd rather see stop motion Legos than CG ones that do stuff the toys can't possibly do in real life (note the poster, showing bending legs and stuff). A little CG enhancment fluff here and there is fine, but I like the stop motion idea better, even if it might be more expensive in the long run...

Reminds me of those toy commercials from the 80's showing the GI Joe toys moving by themselves firing flares out of their guns and explosions and such (or dolls that walked and danced). ;)

Well it dose explain a lot, like why the droids fall apart so easy.

And how they can be made so fast all you need to do is put the legs in to the bodys stick the hands on and a head and you are done 5 secs easy.

lol.

A nice side promotion of the Lego Wars game too!

I played the demo, it brought back semi-traumatic memories of playing "The Phantom Menace" game. Really, it's very similar (the one big improvement is the inclusion of multiplayer coop, arcade style on the same machine only, but still), although you get more scripted use of the Force and pick up coins and hearts like some Mario copy. The charm of force use to "build" pieces to the puzzles and swapping characters on the fly (you could do that in TPM but only by using cheats) might wear a little thin throughout the full game though. I bet if the game is successful they'll launch an OT version. ;)
