Overclock: 2.4GHz Northwood 128 Celeron to 3GHz?

Post by Einhander Sn0m4n »

http://www.cpudatabase.com/index.cfm?action=search <== I search for my CPU and I see some pretty heavy OCs put on this type of chip.

My temps are 40C and voltages are a hair under normal at 2.4 stock.

Anyone...?

EDIT: I guess my question is how feasible is OCing to 3.0 with the stock intel cooler?

I don't think you can reach 3GHZ, but 2.6 definitely, but I sure hope you know what your doing, all the stability stuff.

But Personally, its a celery, won't be that much gain.

You could prolly get up to 3.0. I work for Intel and a couple of the engineers overclocked a 3.0 Ghz Prescott to 6.0 Ghz using liquid nitrogen. It was pretty cool (no pun inteneded) Its all about the cooling, which is why Intel is planning on releasing a factory sealed CPU water cooling unit.
I'm a worthless twat.
