Two of the Iron Men walked over toward the front of the column, another three appeared from behind her. The rest went to take up positions around the Courthouse spire where they could act to sow appropriate chaos in the next heretic assault.

"Simple this is the same bastard I dealt with before a little warp storm brought me to this time. It has the same feel so I am assuming it is him .Also it would fulfill Saint Murphys rule quite well . I managed to keep him from possesing someone he really wanted too and injured him badly enough to blast him bact to the warp."

Nathan checked his armor."Bastard swore he would get me back one day and well looks like he is going to try to come here........"

He looks at her puzzled ..."By the way when did you learn my tounge of old Gothic? we`ve been using it for a while now"

"Humm. Makes sense," she said about the explanation. "Really? I haven't learnt it deliberately. I guess I've spent too long around lingua-servitors. It's amazing what some low gothic dialects some ships come out with."

She took the helmet off, "I hope I can rely on one of you psykers for premonitions regarding any snippers gunning for me in this ridiculous white outfit..."

Nathan chuckled at the shocked look on her face " It would be dishionoring that suit to have it stained crimson with your own blood prematurely as well dear Commodore"

Prayed was more accurate, but now was not the time to worry about technicalities. "They'll have to get closer to the spire to blow it, even with a thermonuke. The Arbites built the courthouse to withstand a fairly extreme level of unrest."

Jolan looked at the steel killing machines with distaste. Relying on them was like relying on Eldar. Both were immensely capable, both had their own agendas, and both regarded human beings with contempt. "Deploy them as you see fit. Just do it now."

The Iron Men moved off to their positions, the ones at the front holding a meltagun and a bolter to their shoulders as they walked, unsurprising when one realised that they would not tire of the weapon's weight.

Good, they were moving again. He wasn't entirely sure of how long he could stay on his feet anyway, at least not without the whirlwind of combat to drive him. Let Nathan and Lena enjoy their little flirtations later, after they'd killed... whatever or whoever they were setting out to kill. He marched along dutifully, remembering the hellacious forced march they'd done three quarters of the way through training at the Schola. Of the hundred and sixteen remaining cadets in his cadet company, fourteen did not survive that march.

This was nothing compared to that, he assured himself.

Nathan was quiet as he moved along with the others.is thoughts were on the job but he was troubled.

The shadowseer was troubled, part of her fate was the inability to see the future, it was left over taint from her ancestor who was one of those animals. The one called "Nathan" had betrayed her ancestor, and the fledgling pact with the untrustworth mon-keigh, however he could see the future, and he had insights into the foe known as "Abbadon The Dispoiler"

She needed the acursed betrayer, but she would have blood vengence angainst the doom of her line.

The point men found the enemy soon enough. An improvised barracade made out of rubble was the high light of the Pox Brotherhood's strong point in this part of the tunnel. A direct assault down the tunnel against las and autogun fire would be costly.

The Adraxians fired blind grenades forward from their launchers and followed up with frag. The two Men of Iron rushed forward. The blind grenades helped cover their swift approach. Lasguns, autoguns, and frag grenades would do little other than scratch their casings. They emerged from the gas clouds at close range.

The frag grenades had killed several and wounded more. The Men of Iron opened up with their bolters. Diseased bodies were blown open by exploding shells. Steel fists crushed skulls. A magus was blasted to ash by a melta blast. They crippled and killed with their kicks. The Adraxians were deadly. The Men of Iron were far worse. They cleared the strongpoint, slaughtering up the tunnel. More than a hundred died in less than a minute. The Adraxians finished the wounded.

Nathan slid forward his eyes searching as well as his other senses still something felt a bit off to him like his precog was trying to warn him but something was blocking it.

*Too easy this is too easy....... its a set up but why would they want us there......*

"Jolan you do know that the summoning ceremony would be a terrific place to set up an ambush for our little group correct?"

Jolan nodded. "Yes. But don't confuse what's going on here. This is just another faceless company of troops. The enemy has hundreds of them. This tunnel fighting favors the Men of Iron, just like it would favor Astartes. This is just the first step. We have kilometers of enemy held territory to travel and it won't necessarily be ass easy as this."

Prius glanced at Nathan, not saying anything. He rose from where he'd just finished off a wounded heretic with his chainsword.
