Whew! Finished Dungeon Seige ( possible spoilers )

Post by TrailerParkJawa »

Total game time to the end was about 50 hours. I say total actually time playing was around 100 hours.

So for 100 hours of gameplay, I say the game was worth it.

Anyone else been playing or has played it?

I got to the goblin dungeon, got pissed-off, and deleted the game :P

I did okay in the Gobblin Dugeon. I had to do some long range sniping in parts with crossbows so it was slow going.

I played part of it, realized it was even more linear (but less fun) than Diablo 2, and deleted it.

I finished it during the swamp level.
Yeah, I deleted the entire damn thing. That'll finish it for good.

I found the whole game very unimpressive. For a minor decrease in graphics and smoothness, you can play Neverwinter Nights, which while not as good as the Baldur's Gate series, is infinitely better than Dungeon Siege.

I had fun playing it with friends because of some of the stupid situations we'd get ourselves into.... but that's about it.

Dungeon Siege was nothing more than a dungeon romp. The story was pretty thin, as were the RPG elements. But thats okay, cause I was happy to just play a hack and slash game to take my mind off events.

I was truely impressed by the graphics which is unusual because I normally dont care too much.

One thing I did like was that magic items were not so uber powerful.

When I get a job again, Im definately going to take a look at Neverwinter Nights. Ive heard the single player game is not much, but the custom games are where its at.

I learned to drive a stick from one of my coworkers. It was in a Ford Ranger belonging to the amusement park I worked at. We took it out after closing and drove through the park while delivering supplies to the various units.

Its funny looking back now, I made bigger deal out of learning to drive a stick than it really was.

Dungeon Siege is alot of fun when you play multi with a few friends. I played it with two of my best friends and had a blast. We finished it two times with different sort of characters and tried out several others.

But it gets boring when you play it alone.
