The Dark told Iggy and me we were insane for talking about me being a pile of romantic goop, and so I said that it was the best description I could come up with at the time and that I am the most romantic person I have ever known, although I guess how I said it wasn't very romantic.

Eh, I've got five years and I still use translator programs. I prefer going to http://www.foreignword.com/Tools/transnow.htm, since it has multiple languages and programs for each language. IMHO, Reverso PROMT is the best of the French translators, and Babelfish is mediocre at best.

Just wanted to clear something up. On the first page of this thread, I wrote this about parents bitching about the Harry Potter books:

WHAT?!?!?!! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH! HP IS GETTING LITTLE KIDS TO READ 400-PAGE-BOOKS!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT?!!!!!

In actuality, the 4th HP book, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," weighs in at 734 pages and is about 2 inches thick. Eight-year-old kids were killing themselves to get their grubby paws on a copy when it first came out, totally unaffected by the size and length of the book.

I just don't understand what the hell those parents are thinking, complaining like that....... :?

Stupid fundamentalists. Well then again, for them, any sort of reading outside the Bible tends to be frowned upon. And I've seen The Chamber of Secrets. Now I would not take a very small child to see it (to explain why would be spoiling the movie for the those who haven't seen it yet. ) though I don't see anything wrong with letting older children see it . . . it's actually pretty good.

About the most harm you could do to somebody with a Harry Potter book is to hit them repeatedly over the head with one, since they seem to be fairly hefty.
