Dreamcast help
I have just recently bought a Sega Dreamcast and have encountered a problem. The console its self-works well enough however it is refusing to read any of the Game discs I am trying to use (and yes they are Dreamcast games). Is there anything I can do to correct this problem?? Any one got any ideas??

How can it possibly work well enough if it won't even read any games?
You probably bought a lemon. Return to the store where you bought it, tell them it doesn't work, and demand a functional product. Offer to display the problem if they get obstinant.

Do not meddle in the affairs of insomniacs, for they are cranky and can do things to you while you sleep.

The drive laser's probably shot. It happened to my original Dreamcast, but fortunately it was still under warranty. Best bet is to swap it out for a different unit. You could try realigning the laser, but that's more of a last-ditch effort when you can't return it, as it voids whatever warranty is left.

The misaligned lazer occurs in many old Dreamcasts, including the used one I bought last year. I readjusted it myself using this tutorial.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
