Make sure you've read up on the Karma Inertia then.

Much as I like ST and SW, I have become a big SG1 fan. The series is well done, has continuity, and actually makes sense with the military technical aspect.

I gotta go with B5 and LotR. B5 coming first. That is not to say that I will deliberately attempt to alter things to make those two universes appear more powerful, as many vs. debaters do, but I will buy their products and watch their shows whenever possible.

I also like that it's generally self-consistent; technical continuity as well as storylines. And the universe it takes place in is more realistic than the usual adventure series: There's several Stargate teams exploring the galaxy, not just SG1 that the audience follows; O'Neil isn't just another Dirk Squarejaw but true to his character's story arc, he's a bit of a sarcastic smartass; Jackson and Carter often get lost in something technical when there's fightin' to be done; and so on. Quite well done.Alyeska wrote:Much as I like ST and SW, I have become a big SG1 fan. The series is well done, has continuity, and actually makes sense with the military technical aspect.
Yeah, there's some problems here and there, like Carter can figure out anything, and all the aliens do that "you can tell how advanced we are by our lack of humour", but overall, it kicks ass.
