Command and Conquer: Generals...any custom campaigns?

Post by HemlockGrey »

I just beat all the single-player campaigns for C&C Generals and was wondering if there were any others of note available on the net that you guys could recommend...ones that don't require Zero Hour.

As sort of an aside, is the Generals community anywhere near as strong as the Starcraft, War3, or Rome: Total War communities? I haven't been able to find many sites for it.

No, not nearly, but there are mods out there. I've been keeping an eye on a slowly-growing 40k mod for Generals/ZH, and I think there's a Star Wars one even further along.

Once I grab Zero Hour I'm thinking of doing a US vs China campaign, which screams to be made, but I wouldn't if there wouldn't be anyone to download it...hence my question.

A 40K mod? Isn't that called Dawn of War?

I think there's also a multiplayer mod in the works that'll add the sides and units from Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge...

How the hell does that work? Did they make new models for all the RA2 units?
Even so, seeing some Kirov Airships and Raptors duking it out would be very amusing :D. Oh, and Apocalypse Tank versus Overlord. Battle of the Ubertanks! And don't forget the Desolator Infantry.

Yep: I imagine they'd have to add some of their own codework as well to properly recreate some of the RA2 weapon effects (i.e. Yuri's psychic units)

Here is the site for the mod, where there are 30 or so screenshots...

There's a Battletech mod out there as well.

Here's a link
