No atmosphere on SW Planets?

No atmosphere on SW Planets?

Is it just me or is it that everytime I see a ship entering a planet, it isnt even slightly burning up. Is it their shields, or did they create an artificial atmosphere that doesnt burn things up?

They decelerate before hitting the atmosphere. There's no need to hit the atmosphere at 30 km/s if you have their technology.

They almost certainly use their repulsors to slow down planetfall.
