Whewwwww ...
I have a business trip to the Midwest coming up tomorrow and my laptop is my office when I leave town. Friday night when I finally got around to unpacking the laptop and putting it into the home network, I discovered that when I'd shut it down and put it in its soft carrying case, it hadn't shut all the way down ... it had been running and recirculating warm air through the cooling system so the whole thing was very hot to the touch.
I shut it down, let it cool, then powered it up ... and it would boot just fine until it got to the desktop graphics, then it would lock up showing only the wallpaper, and the only thing I could do was power it off. Tried this 4 or 5 times, and finally just booted it up and left it on for a couple hours ... when it finally booted all the way up to a complete desktop and let me reboot it normally.

Mrs. Spade didn't raise any children dippy enough to
make guesses in front of a district attorney,
an assistant district attorney, and a stenographer.
