Having seen the trailer, I can now say;

SWEET TAPDANCING ROBOT JESUS!

Spoilers are a must in this thread, so...

River kicking ass and the "Evil Dead" Reavers are just part of the niftiness. It is DEFINITELY going to spawn sequels.

Can a mod change the title of the thread to add a spoiler warning?

Screen caps

I capped every change of shot and a few within-shot multicaps as well, where action and detail dictated. 151 caps total. Names are slightly descriptive, but they're named in sequence for easy navigation and reference. The frame numbers I'm not sure about -- AfterEffects has a funny way of handling frame numbers since it always uses a base-30 timecode, even when the settings are for 24 fps (it skips listing some frame numbers in that case). But the minute/second numbers are right.

That said, it looks like the Alliance is going to fight the Reavers :shock: That's gonna be hot. Also, given some of the later fleet battle pics, we can see that there are some enormous ships in the Firefly-verse, since we see the itty-bitty Serenity flying along the hulls. Of course, we already knew this from the Alliance capital ships in the series, but it's nice to see that there are more than just these.

Oh yeah, anyone else notice that there is very definitely Earth is this trailer? Unless you want to tell me that's not Florida, Cuba, Mexico, and northern South America. ;)

Who is this bounty hunter-type? Is it Jubal Early, re-cast? Is it someone meant to be like Early?

So many questions! So much time to wait! :x

Apparently not. IMDb has a lot of choice tidbits. It lists Book as being part of the cast, but he wasn't anywhere in the trailer. The movie takes place 6 months after "Objects in Space".

It is the first of at least three movies. :D

For some reason, the capship battles in the trailer reminded me of Freespace.

Looks like "Earth that Was" isn't synonamous with "Earth that Ain't"
Look at that S-car go.
