I have no idea. I haven't been back there since one of them (actually NOT DMJ) started claiming telepathy was realistic. Those idiots will literally make up ANYTHING.

That appears to be standard practice, besides oversimplifying every point to the extreme. Thing is they waste about a whole page of post giving each other handjobs over how good a job they did "giving the Warsies a smackdown" :wanker: so it makes actually keeping up with the debates hard (that and there's now three threads on the damn thing)
'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand.' He faltered and leaned heavily on his staff. 'What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.'

How do they figure? R2 himself is carrying around a complete set of plans.

And if a bunch of Geonosians on the outer rim can actually design the thing, it clearly isn't something special. Besides. It isn't just one piece of technology. Its lots of different technologies put together into one big battle station. But don't try telling that to those tards who simplify EVERYTHING into one-shot concepts.

I haven't even been back there in over three weeks IIRC. Are they still in their "we beat off those warsies" circle jerk? :wanker:

Depends on if they downloaded or copied the Death Star I plans from R2-D2 in ANH. For Artoo's sake, I hope they had removed them.

Why? They weren't affecting him in any negative way, other than the Imperials being after him in ANH. After the first DS was destroyed, it was a moot point since the second one was radically re-designed.

Deleting some thing dose not remove it. What you are doing is removing it from "what files are hear" list. The only way to delete some thing for good is to format it. And we know that R2D2 has not been format.

There for the plans are still in him.

Correction: formatting is the only way to GUARANTEE deletion. Putting a file in the recycle bin makes that disk space available for other files to be written in its place on the disk but there is no guarantee.

He doesn't mean it like that, just like when I said 'fags' about the trekkies earlier (look at my sig). Nothing personal everybody. 8) :)

Lots of 13-year-olds don't act that way but there ARE a lot of them DO.

Is it me or does the whole "Federation ships are immune to lasers" thing get really old after the first million or so times.

Besides I thought that the Federations greatest foe, The Borg, used a brilliantly named wepon called the Cutting LASER!!

Well IIRC Borg primary weapon is called cutting beam and yeah it's gettin really old as there TNG episode were E-D in denger from lasers (including one were Picard refused to enter a system because of laser weapon activity).
I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

Actually, Worf said that they cut through the hull with "some sort of laser."

Personally, I think a better argument would come from the VOY: "Timeless." By the "logic" used in the "no lasers" argument, we have cannon proof that Galaxy class starships, and by extention all Federation ships are immune to phasers. This was shown when the Delta Flyer's aft phaser failed to do anything to the USS Challenger's shields.

This should force them to realize the absurdity of the argument.

Either that or cause them to wank even harder to their newly beefed-up fanon. Use with caution.

just a little something that all dumbass trekkies who think Lasers can't hurt Federation ships
'In "Conundrum," the FACT is, the Lysian lasers poised enough of a threat that Picard raised FULL FORWARD shields.'
Which I found one Lord Poe's site about weapons of mass destrution, which covers SW vs ST weapons
