Who here has the crappiest PC?

If you feel you have the shittiest PC, then post your specs. Let's find out who has the worst.

The more accurate thread title would have been 'who here uses macs?'

I still have a working 386DX 20 with 8MB RAM at home ^^
Some old games only work on that machine... if you do not want to use some speed-down software.

Lesse. Right now, I use a modern compy. But back at my parent's place, they still have a Celeron 400 as their main machine, a 386 I used back when in the garage, an IBM XT laying unused, and a few dozen Pentium Is and IIs lying about in various dissembled peices.

You just beat any post I've ever made by a mile. And that's saying something, because I can make some pretty dumb posts.

Anyway, I have a friend who just upgraded to a 450 MHz P3 I sold him, last month.
His previous computer which he used full time was a 133 MHz Pentium....

My school's physics lab has...

Four Macintosh Classics.

FYI, they're 15 years old, have 2 MB hard drives, and a clock speed so low I can't even remember it.

Screens are black and white, too.

And they make us use these for assignments.

ZX Spectrum 128k

Ok, so that one doesn't really count, despite having most of the trappings of a computer it does fall a little too close to being an ageing console. (besides, the next person to post would probably proudly declare their possession of a 48k and spoil all my fun.)

If this thread had been posted 6 months ago, I could have brought the 300mhz Athlon that my parents were using to the table, but even they've upgraded now :( The only machines I know anymore are all over 1ghz.

I don't know why everyone hates WIN:ME, I use it and I like it quite a bit. But I want to change to XP mainly for gaming purposes, as in the latest games will start to only accept XP.

Well at least I know it's not me.

Still using a PII-400 with 192MB RAM and Matrox G200 video card.
No plans to upgrade since all I do is websurf, type stuff, do basic photo editing, and watch porn.

No contest.

-Windows 3.1
-No CD-ROM Drive
-Those Old Floppy A Drives (with the 6" Disks)
-A 14.4 modem (doesn't work)
-486 microprocessor.

If anybody has a shittier computer than that I'd be very shocked. And I'll give you mine. :D

No modem? That's not your main system then. If you think that's old, IBM XT. It's newer than an 8086, or an IBM AT, but older than the 286. I think we've got a Commadore 64 stashed somewhere, with a small pile of Atari 2600s.

Well, I still have my Commodore 64...

It doesn't have a hardrive or even a diskdrive (they were still using tapes back then). No monitor, either - you have to hook it up to the TV. And it only had 64 kilobytes of RAM.

Makes my Pentium 90 sound like state of the art! :)

Yay! I still have the shittiest PC, except for Aerius, and I actually do CPU intensive tasks like rendering...

Well, right now I'm using a computer that has
- 350 MHz Pentium 2 processor
- 192 MB ram (used to have 64, but we upgraded)
- 20 + 4 GB harddrives
- 4x CD drive (no that's not the burning speed, it's not even capable of burning. It used to be 42x but that one died. It was noisy too)
- nVidia TNT2 32MB graphics card (used to be some crappy 8 MB thing, but I couldn't play VtM: Redemption with that so I upgraded)
- SoundBlaster PCI128 (it has really great MIDI instruments)
- Floppy drive (our newest computer doesn't even have one of those, so it's probably a sign of crappiness)
- Noisy fan
- Shitty old monitor which seems to be incapable of displaying resolutions higher than 1024*768*32
- Not one wireless part (and yay to that! I hate switching batteries all the damn time! Damn those wireless optical pieces of crap consuming 12.75 GW when idling!)

I have worse computers, though. Pentium 90 MHz, 486's and that sort of stuff. But I don't use them very often. And I have a NES, too. Does that count? It probably does not have too flattering specs...
