Anyway, on topic: I used to get letters like that a lot-- it stopped when I began picking them apart and sending them back though, as people in this thread are doing. I don't like chain mail at all, and people who send it to me generally aren't worth talking to anyway.

Agree on the hate mail. Maybe like a "Monthly Moron" page, where you put in the dumbest e-mails you got for the month. Roughly once a month update them.

It seems like a great time for the first few, but after you hear the exact same crap over and over and over ... and over again, it really just becomes tiring to slog through it all. That way, you can skip the tedious process of rebuking each and every e-mail you recieve, and entertain SD.net members at the same time! It's a win-win situation. Except for the dudes who get swamped by condescending e-mails...

Those E-mails are all the same. They're aimed at Christians who don't go to church any more, trying to guilt-trip them into returning. I don't think they have the foggiest idea how to communicate with an atheist; I know for a fact that many of them think all atheists are actually just Christians who are denying their true beliefs.

Nah, I figure it's primarily because they're brought up to believe in the religion the same way a lot of us believe in gravity. They believe that it's truly absolutely right, and that any doubts are just people in denial. Apparently, it's harder to follow the kind of life outlined by christ then to be almost certain that there's almost no true purpose or point to life. Yeah, we're the ones in denial... definately.. lol.
