Nintendo's 'touching' problem.

Post by Praxis »

Okay, you know Nintendo has been advertising the Nintendo DS, right?

"Touching is good"...

Then the hint towards the Revolution...
"Touching is good but feeling is better"...

Then the Aries rumor, that claims "squeezable" pressure sensing grips...

And of course, the way in Japan they stick Touch! before everything. Touch! Yoshi. Touch! Kirby. Touch! everything.

It makes you wonder if Nintendo is just out to make people shake their heads when they hear of their products.

Well, now their latest trespass.

They are releasing a dictionary program for the Nintendo DS.

So what do they call it?

Touch Dic.

Could they have THOUGHT of a worse name?

well, they could always have someone use Touch! yourself. and then someone else could add in 'at night'. . .

I can't think of a better way to get millions of teenagers to buy a dictionary.

Must not be a slang term in wherever they came up with that.

Isn't the website Korean though? I wasn't sure where they came up with it exactly.

Could be, but it's Nintedo in Japan that thinks up all the "touch"y names...

Myself, I wouldn't be very surprised if it was found out that somebody in Korean knew exactly what "Touch Dic" will end up looking like to those who are proficient in English.

We'll never see that hit American shores. That's the funniest video game word joke I've seen since "Fokker" (Falcon-USA) from Capcom's "Power Stone."

As for games that we'll never see that hit American (or Australian) shores, how about Battle Raper II for the PSP.

Obvious fake but nice concept. Seen it before.

It'd be nice if it was a little thinner, it looks Powerbook-thick right now, and thats not easy to hold as a handheld.

LOL, well you're the first person to post it on this board, so don't feel ashamed :P

Proof its fake; http://www.jeux-france.com/blog12245_Mariods A french site said so! :P

If they make it just a tad thinner and make way to grip it well, it would be an awesome system.

Engadgets said it was a fake too, or implied it. I just wanted to show other Nintendo fans on here. :D
