I read a while back this book (free download here), but recently I've heard the author is one of those crazy Holocaust deniers.
So, I ask to the board, is this book reliable?

Alright, alright, enough lambasting the "man", how about his books, can they be considered reliable, accurate, neutral?

Accurate, I think. He's made the news a couple of times. Before he became controversial, he was a well-respected historian. Best to read his work for yourself and then decide. As for the man personally, I think the un-PC smear campaign against him has succeeded in making his life hell and ruining his career, so if you ever met him on the street, you might find him a little uptight, wondering what insult or abuse you were going to fling at him, either as an anti-racist critic or racist supporter.
I've also read this book (I've also read his '60s Dresden book, I've forgotten the name) and I actually liked it. I haven't seen a hint of Holocaust denial in this book, as this would have made me throw the book in the bin. That Hitler knew about and ordered the Holocaust is known and recognized by every sane person, but I don't think it can be established whether he knew about all the details.
