Although the flaming pictures of Concorde are somewhat sobering, never seen half of those shots before.

The aircraft and tank balancing on their noses are good. Also, "short-landing".

These are just begging to be made into "PWNED!" pictures.

Back to the orginal Point. "How is that((the above)) even possible?" It isn't, I'm fairly sure thats a photoshop job as more then anything, Telephone wires can NOT support the weight of a car, and if they could, the polls theselves would be bending and tension would make the wires to bend enough so that the car would be touching the ground.

Also, the door of the car is opened. Unless they're stuck.

For every one photo of an aircraft wreck there's probably a thousand of an auto accident.

And of those 1000 auto wrecks, 685 people walked away, and 200 others were saved. It's difficult to walk away from a 20 ton plane travelling at terminal velocity at the ground. Rapid deceleration sucks.

What? How do you know the person didn't just jump from the car and ran to take the picture before the car fell :P

I agree with Chardok, it's kinda hard to live through a plane crash than it is to live through a car crash, more people die if a plane crashes.
Anyway apparently flying is safer as they compare it to being hit by lightning... can't remember the statistics though, just that you are more likly to get hit by lightning than you are to die in a plane crash, kinda hard to believe though.

It's also difficult to survive in a car traveling at 70mph into an overpass support, and that happens more often. At least on a commercial airliner you know a crew with thousand of hours and years of flying experience is working the problem to the very end.
