Well, given that the 666/616 confusion was known at the time of Irenaeus and he apparently refuted 616 being the correct number, I'd say that it won't really matter. Nobody save a few scholars and interested people (like us) will care.

But yeah, I don't think "Six One Six, The Number of the Beast" will have quite the same ring to it.

Hey, just shows God's a working stiff like the rest of us. He needs His day to just kick back in the Barca-lounger with his beer and the game on TV.
Good thing there isn't a hell or they'd be making up my room as I type this. ( "Right this way Ms.Trinity, you're in room 666. That's on the 13th floor by the brimstone machine...."
Oh, we all of us know its far too late to be worrying about such things now. 8)

Hee...hee, sounds like a typical guy to me. It's too bad that so many people out there take that shit literally. They use it as an excuse to commit so many horrors against their fellow men and women.

Well, at least the God & Goddess that I believe in have a sense of humor.
Afterall, they gave us Jerry Falwell, pedophile priests, the heavens gate UFO cult, T.V. faith healers, not to mention Michael Jackson & crack cocaine. I can't wait to get to heaven and yuk it up with them in person!

I just downloaded them and then uploaded them to photobucket.
Plus, I've just got a Gif animation progg. to try and make my own.

This 616 was found in the dump. Obviously a typo... Or a dastardly coverup. No, no, it was probably a mis-copy, as they didn't type back then... but it could be a coverup.... Never understood why the devil would have to take a number to trash the world anyway...

 No offence, Trinity, but your gods have a pretty fucked up sense of humour. I'd hate to be in the audience if they ever did stand up comedy.

On the subject of the OP, my sister's gonna be so dissapointed, she was so looking forward to her birthday being the end of the world.

I can't help but think of all those idiots who have a "666" tatoo. They'll all be lining up for tatoo removal now, so they can update.

You revived a dead thread for this? Read the announcement about thread necromancy. Next time, I won't feel compelled by politeness to keep a civil tongue.

"Thingie". For Christ's sake. Even if English isn't your native language, there has to be a translation dictionary out there that has the word "anniversary". And if you are a native English speaker, you're either a complete idiot or you couldn't figure out how to spell it and were too lazy to look it up.
