They have before, and it took them all of 2 hours to set them up.

They have used them and they take less than a day to make.

I cant find a reference to subspace jamming and even if they do exist they wouldnt necessarily work theres a difference between comns and transporters.

The Imps have no knowledge of transporters - just like the feds couldnt hope to understand hyperspace the Imps couldnt understand transporters.

Imps have no knowledge of transporters? WRONG. It's generally decided both sides have info on each other.

And WHEN DID THEY SET UP A SUBSPACE TRANSPORTER?!

See above post.
I meant the workings of them not that they exist and they would only have info about standard ones so they would have a shock if they started coming thought the shields.

Quote please. All I remember is a ferengi grabbing Picard's "Son" and then Picard saying it wasn't his son.

When? Look above. "Bloodlines" Season 7, yadda yadda.

And if both sides have info on each other, and the Imps are invading Fed territory, then fuck it, the deck is stacked WAY more than it should be.

I mean Jesus fucking Christ, how much do they NEED? Gee, we're faster, stronger, there's more of us, and WE KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT A GALAXY WE'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE AND HALF A DOZEN GOVERNMENTS WE'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE AND HUNDREDS OF SPECIES WE'VE NEVER DEALT WITH BEFORE AND DOZENS OF LANGUAGES WE'VE NEVER ENCOUNTERED BEFORE AND

Fuck that. They have to get their knowledge the hard way. So do the Feds.

Yes then Picard used the Subspace transporter to rescue his Fake-Son.

Picard : What range would that sort of transporter have.

Data : In theory it could operate over several light years.

Then later

Picard : Is there any way we can keep Bok from beaming onto the ship

Geordi : I dont think there is

Then then proceed to try and use the transporter to keep Bok from beaming Picards non-son off the ship but fail.

A few questions:
Were their shields up?
Was their relative velocity in relation to Bok's ship greater than zero?
Were they using any subspace jamming equipment?

Yes.
Yes - not that it matters since transporting can be done as long as the ship isnt at warp regardless of delta v.
No.

But I have already pointed out the problems with jammers earlier in the thread.

hmm, I don't see a problem with the jammers at all.
Subspace transporter sends objects thru subspace
Subspace jammers affect subspace
Conclusion
Subspace jammers interfere with transporter
You pointed out that ST ships don't feature subspace jamming equipment.
Well, that would explain why they apparently had no countermeasures against the device.

Please show me if Imps use Subspace Jammers.

The only subspace devices are low powered a transporter is high powered.

The federation know more about subspace than the empire so I would think they could disrupt a signal if they wanted too and it were possible.

The episode also proves sensor technology is good - Bok locates his victim from 300 Billion km and that isnt bad sensor resolution at all.

You assertion that subspace jammers disrupt subspace may be correct but there is no saying they disrupt it enough.

Since subspace technology was present in the SW galaxy for more than 25000 years while the feds use it merely for smome 300 years or so,normally you could believe the Imps actually know more about subspace than the Feds do.
And what makes you think their jammers are low powered?
Btw, disturbing subspace slightly would be enough to block them, since the subspace transporter is said to be an unstable device, as such easy to disturb.

I say low powered because the only subspace tech still in use personal comunicators so low powered evices only need low powered jamming - if imps both jamming it at all which I cant find a quote on.

Who knows more about making a sword? you or a blacksmith from 500 years ago - to the Imps subspace is distant history and the Imps are soldiers and thus will know very little about subspace but the Feds use it every day and they are scientists.

That is supposition, a slight bit of disruption wouldnt cause the transporter to be non operational since the enterprise has a subspace field that would interfer ith the transporter and this didnt happen meaning slight disruption was not a hinderance.

I simply wish to know if it will work or not but you seem desperate to prove the theory incorrect due to you wanting Wars to continue to rule the Vs discussion.

I think it would be most likely the Imps would install high-powered subspace jammers on the ships they send into the milky way anyway because there, all the communications system rely on subspace.

Of course I want SW to rule the VS debate. I'm a Warsie.
You want ST to rule the debate.
That's why we do debate at all.

But how would they have such fore knowledge?

That argument doesnt work for all scenarios and even then theres still the question of whether they have subspace jammers - I still cant find any evidence.

Once they have jammers those jammers would be designed block communications which may not block comns since its possible to block communications in the ST universe but not subspace transporters these facts would support my theory.

Actually I dont care who wins but it just seems a bit unfair that ST seems to have been defeated - I havent seen a ST Vs site so I may just being misled by Imperial news media :)

Thats why I was arguing for the Imp earlier when someone said they couldnt use hyper drive in the ST galaxy.

One would expect that once you have developed subspace communications and subspace sensors, sooner or later you will develop appropriate countermeasures against them.
It's always been like that in military history.

Yes but once everyon else stops using subspace everyone stops using the countermeasures for them.

A suit of Armor becomes a Bullet proof vest.

The Vest isnt as good against swords but thats ok who uses swords anymore?

Do you see what Im saying subspace counter-measure were replaced by what ever else was developed over the next 25,000 years.

The empires sensors are designed to get a target lock past jamming but fed sensors can pick out a particular person from 300 Billion km away - the difference is in what they want from their sensors.

Since no one supplied me with backed up reasons why subspace transporters cant work, does that mean that they do in fact work since no one came up with valid reasons to dispute the fact.

Subspace jammers

Post by Guest »

Prof that star wars has subspace jammers, from
Star Wars The essential guide to weapons and
technology page 116.

Despite its battered appearance, the Millennium Falcon
has one of the best sensor systems found aboard any
small vessel. The dorsal rectenna dish is controlled by a
Fabritech ANq-51 sensor array computer and includes a
power-boosted electro-photo receptor, a subspace comm
detector, and both active and passive long-range sensor
arrays. Onboard jamming systems and short-range target
acquisition programs also can be patched into the dish.
