Well yeah, assuming:Alyrium Denryle wrote:Yes true the pokemnon are capable of using some of the same effcts. But the mages defenses are tailored for all sources of a given attack. If mage is hit by a fireall, his energy buffer is going to protect him just as well as if a charizard used flamthrower. And when the mage is raining death in the form of spells that use different types of elements you will find that the pokemon will not be able to defend against everything. Especially is the mage is high leveled enough to cast prismatic sphere. That spell blocks everything out, even mental attacks, and yet still allows the caster to fight. The pokemon equivalents to the spells used to dispell the sphere will not work, because it is not the effect that performs the dispelling, but the structure of the spell itself.
In response to all pokemon being transported to my epic level campaign world They will be destroyed.
Can see it now....
An army of arcane archers, mages, and eldritch warriors forms up in front of a sea of pokemon.
Arcane archer commander (wis50 arc20):Amenohi dax tirak felinin
Death arrows rain from the sky in the first volley, killing several thousand pokemon.
Elritch warrior commander (ftr20/wiz50/Eldw5 duelist1): Charge!
Thousands of robe wearing men wielding rapiers with grace charge into the fray, when thier swords hit, destructive spells explode in destructive death, while thier runeweave robes and defensive spells protect them from the pokemons pathetic attacks.
Mage commander: Take flight
Thousands of high level mages(all >20th level, it is an epic world after all) take flight and begin casting carefully shaped spells into the mellee(so as not to hit thier own troops) raining death down apon the hapless pokemon.
Fireballs, and acid globs mingle with ice and electrical energy as spells fly across the battle field.
Chained disintegrate spells burst into being when the swods of the eldritch warriors hit thier targets, killing all pokemon in the area. A scyther slashes at an eldritch warior, only to find that his attacks are absorbed by the glowing robes.
Special pokemon attackes explode on the energy buffer and elemental protection spells. A flight of Pidgeots tries to make an attack run on the flying mages. But the mages are to fast, and the birds flying to quickly to turn away, as walls of force appear infront of them. Thier shattered corpses fall to the ground, those that remain are quickly brough down as fireballs explode like shot from a flak cannon, ripping into thier feathery bodies.
When the corpses pile up on the ground waist deep, the eldritch warriors stop fighting and cast prismatic sphere on themselves.....And then the corpses of the slain pokemon catch fire and explode in a shimmering radience of destructive energy, vaporizing everything that is not defended against the corpsefire spell.
That would be what would happen
A: they knew what they all were, and decided to just attack them
B: They had the Magic Power to take on an entire planetary animal population
C: The Pokemon were all in one spot, trying to battle them.
Oh, and I have one question before I counted the Prismatic Sphere.
Can the caster see or hear through it?
