By now many here have seen the movie, and can see some of the things that didn't make the cut in the final version of the CD. With 4-6 and 1, we got a two disk set of music that spanned the entire film, in order, as it was meant to be. Then, suddenly, Episode II turned out to be a one disk only set.
I guess my question is, is Episode III going to be treated this way? I've been all over google trying to find the answer, but haven't been able to find a single tidbit of information on it. If not, why not? We used to get the whole thing, but not anymore? Why?
Anyone have any answers out there?

From what I can tell, the US and UK OSTs differ. The US one has less tracks and different names, but has a bonus CD with select tracks from the entire saga. The UK one has more tracks and the bonus disc is a DVD looking behind the Williams and London Symphony Orchestra's past with the franchise.
I intend to get a trilogy box set if they do one like with the OT or LotR. I did get the first Episode I OST, but then they made about a dozen extra ones.

Well, I'm hoping for a more complete and extended version of Ep 3, though I'm not really holding my breath, after Ep 2 didn't have any extended.
I seem to recall a lot of initial displeasure when Ep 1's extended came out (I was among those displeased at first) because the format wasn't quite right. Instead of more of a suite format for each track which flowed from one to another, they were set out more like individual tracks inside the movie itself.
I remember a lot of people saying they were going to return their copies because it was "crap". (I kept mine, and grew to like it just fine. Better that than less music like we have now) Perhaps this is the reason they're not doing the full length suites or the full music from start to finish as they were?
