They simply said during the Clon Wars, so I'd assume between II and III too since III ends with the fall of the Old Republic and rise of the Empire.

I've heard about the series set between III and IV, but not another Clone Wars series. Then again I haven't been checking. So there's a III-IV series, and another Clone Wars series?

We're talking about Shaak Ti being in the temple, not Aayla.

One of the TV series, the CGI cartoon, will take place during the Clone Wars (between II and III) so Aayla very well could be in it, although she'll be a cartoon. The live action one takes place between III and IV. She will not be in that one, as she is dead. This has been more or less confirmed (Paul Ens or Tom Hodges, I believe, said as much over at TFN).

If that is true of the series, that's bitchin'. There's a big gap between the fall of the Old Republic and rise of the Empire and when the Rebellion starts getting full swing. I'll be glad to have a series cover that rather than various authors with various quality renditions of what they think happens like with the EU.

Well, we'll be getting plenty of books and comics too, like usual. Personally, I'm really hoping for a second clone war to occur a couple of years after RotS. It won't happen, but it would be a perfect fix for PT/OT and PT/EU conflicts. Plus it would make for great storytelling.

Someone at Wikipedia brought up a good point. She was hit by blue blaster fire and there was no visible wounds on her back. Plus, the only time we've seen blue blaster fire was in ANH, when that stormie stunned Leia.

Of course, that makes you wonder why the clonies would stun her.

What crack are you smoking - clone trooper weapons fire blue bolts almost exclusively and I doubt that a droid would be taken out by a stun shot.

There was blue blaster fire on Kashyyyk and Utapau against droids that came from Clonetrooper carbines and rifles too.

Did I say it was true? No, I didn't. I was simply relaying a bit of idea. Pull the rod out of your ass.

The only way Aayla could've survived is if she's very strong in the Force Absorb technique. Of course, with the way they fired into her after she fell, it's unlikely even that could save her.

I don't quite think she's Yoda, who absorbs Force Lightning with his bare hands. Or even TESB-era Vader, who absorbs a couple of blaster bolts with his gloved hand without so much as flinching or smoking.

I've been reading a lot of other forums regarding this subject.. forums of less upstanding repute and standards than sdnet.. and if I hear ONE MORE FKIN AAYLA/CLONE GANGRAPE JOKE I'M GONNA CRACK

But surely that's not what you meant, so never mind :P

Seeing it again, it looks like the first shot Bly fired into her back pretty much looked like it killed her. The rest was just.. overkill.

Bastards.

Hell hath no fury like a clone legion spurned. They all kept making passes at her, she kept shooting them down, finally they shot her down. Then the order came through and they're all like 'Oh... yeah.'

Hmm reading the posts on this page, I've come across a gaffe of sorts.

Bly shot Aayla in the back, but when you see her lying face-down, there's no wound. At the very least, blasters leave marks to put it mildly, and at most, you can go all the way up to "Greedoization".

They should've shown a wound on her back.

Unless of course, they were so caught up in her amazing hotness that they just filled her with stun shots.

I haven't seen the movie so I don't know how the scene looks, but there you go.

No wounds on Aayla? Yes there were- I'm sure of it. Don't be silly, she's unbelievably dead.

Maybe you should pull the crack out of your head beforehand. :P

Anyway, even if they were stun bolts, which is absolutely unlikely and wrong, getting stunned so many times as it sounds would probably still be fatal.

But since she wasn't stunned, it doesn't matter. The lovely alien girl is dead.

The last time so many clones unloaded on Aayla she was covered in semen instead of blaster burns.

While I’m sure that Aayla is quite dead (I, too, mourn the loss of such a hot piece of Twi’lek ass), you can bet that we will see at least one Infinities story about her surviving the attack given how popular she is. I mean, hell, they did it to Maul. Twice.

I didn't see wounds either, but to be perfectly frank I am beginning to think the goddamn cinema I went to was a piece of shit. Didn't she have a line? 'Cause I didn't hear it, if she did.

Plus I'm short sighted, and the screen was dark as well - if there were wounds I couldn't see them.

Her short conversation with Commander Bly were cut. They're in the graphic novel, and the scene is also described on Vympel's Big List of Cut Things thread.
AAYLA: "Steady ... Steady ..."

They all look around for signs of the enemy. CLONE COMMANDER BLY moves up behind the Jedi.

AAYLA (continuing): "Bly, do you think they're droids?"

BLY: No.

She is then shot as seen in the film.
