G1 set the standard for Transformer series.

And Beast Wars, met the standard, and shattered every "achievement" ever accomplished by G1.

G1 was poorly written tripe who have to look up to the writers of voyager in terms of keeping an unchanging continuity...

BW had a flowing story arc, with characters who were actually characters instead of 2 dimensional plot devices in the interests of selling crappy toys.

G1 was so animation error ridden that the sizes of the characters ranged from 6 feet to 60.

Bw maintained a more or less constant size throughout the whole series.

"Code of Heroe" Need I say more? The best episode ever written.

Beast Wars had a smart intelligent villain. And guess what boys and girls, he actually won the beast wars, whereas G1 had a villain which couldn't lead a thirsty shark to water.

I believe Bludgeon and Shockwave said it best:

You delude yourself- The once revered G1 Megatron is but a sad joke -- A legend tarnished by a HOST of humiliating defeats. He should have stayed dead -Bludgeon

Before you is the shattered ruined body of your former commander, Megatron...Now a barely functioning mockery of the power and cunning that a Decepticon warrior should be -Shockwave

Beast Wars was superior in every sense of the word. Generation 1 just plain sucked.

Transformers the movie, one of the best animated movies ever. period. The only movie based on a popular T.V show thats still on that kills 95% of the main cast in the first ten minutes. Damn thats good stuff.

I agree whole heartedly.

I amend my former statement. I liked the story line of BW, but I still prefer the animation over CGI. Beast Machines sucked. period.

They killed them to make way for the next generation of transformers, and the new toys, episodes and othe rstuff they could sell.
