Midi-chlorians

Most people hear agree that Midi-chlorians do not cause the force directly but I think I may have come up with some proof.

We know that Palpateen was one of the strongest sith ever and grew up on naboo. We are also told that is Anakin had grown up with in the republic he would have been found and trained as a Jedi.

If Midi-chlorians caused the force and were essential to using it then Palpateen should have been taken for training as a Jedi.

There are only two logical explanations.

First Midi-chlorians are only an indication of force power and it is possible to be very strong last still having a low count.

Second (this is the one I like) that Midi-chlorians are drawn to people with strong force potential (like dust to children in His Dark Materials) but the sith found the boy (palpatean) before the Jedi and some how stopped the Midi-chlorians from being drawn to him.

In both these theories Midi-chlorians do not cause the force.

Maybe his parents were offered that and refused. I don't think the Jedi have absolute authority to abscond with any child they want.

But then shortly they would have some sort of record of an immensely strong (as strong or stronger than yoda) person wondering around. And be less socked when he turned out to be a sith. Also would they have not said “even master yodas counts that high or that boy we found on naboo” when they found Anakin.

Saxton’s site says they abducted force sensitive from moncalamary before official first contact was made.

Maybe their program of identifying potential Jedi doesn't adequately cover rural areas, and he grew up on a farm.

Or Plagueis was able to mask Palpatine's force-sensitivity from the Jedi, as Palpatine would later learn how to do himself.

Palpatine could have been born to a Sith minion (or one of the Sith prior to him) and just hidden from the Jedi all together

At what age are childrent tested for Force potential? At birth, or at a few years of age?

If it's the latter, there's still a window when a Sith Lord (or his minions/hirelings) may locate a potential.

What a shame that this is all supposition aimed at getting around the idea because people don't like the midis.

Assuming that he did grow up on Naboo, that Qui Gon wasn't simplifying, and that Plaguis didn't get him first.

Because you don't like the idea. No more substantial reason than that.
