Whining crybabies. I thought Hayden and Natalie were good in both films.
I'm hurt.

But really, Natalie delievered a few good lines, and sereved her purpose (I actually liked her performance overall in AOTC) but I didnt find her to be particularly good either. Did it detract from the movie for me? No.

Natalie is good looking, if that is what you mean.

Perhaps that's why she has like.. nine different hairstyles this movie. Making up for the fact that her next movie has her cue-bald.

Anakin marches in and starts owning stuff -- then they cut to some unrelated boringness.

Order 66: part with Ki Adi Mundi was set up pretty cool, with the proto-snowtroopers stopping, lining up, and opening fire. But the scene is cropped so you can never see everything at once, and it cuts away too quickly.

In Secura's part, they shoot her and then start blaster-spaming her corpse, which takes no apparent damage from the numerous shots hitting it, and then half the screen is obscured by a large plant for a few seconds.

Part where the Jedi in a figher is shot down, when Palpatine is shown issuing the order YET AGAIN, it really became somewhat grating.

I thought the segment was cool overall, but it had little emotional impact and I thought it could have been vastly improved without a great deal of effort.
How much gore and blood do you want? Its not supposed to be a R-17 movie, the plant purposfully blocks that part.

You've been weaned on too much over the top cartoons and "Matrix" movies to appreciate subtle storytelling that doesn't bash you over the head, or run up to the screen
Uh, the storytelling in Star Wars is only "subtle" to complete morons.

ya know, I watched the movie two times already; once in german(my mother tongue), at wednesday and i was totally dissappointed, especially by the weak dialogues and stuff. nothing seemed to fit together, most of all the love scenes and everytime palpatine talks it sounded wooden and slow. and then, i watched it yesterday in english, and it was fucking great.

ignoring a few minor nitpicks, like the second romance scene or the final sequenze with the emperor, it was just amazing, everything fit together.

what i want to say: please, all germans and austrians, watch the fuckin movie in english, because the german translation sucks, sucks and well....

For one, I avoid watching movies in the dubbed German version like the plague.
Mostly it is better (though there are movies out there who are slightly better in the dubbed version than in the original...)

Oh God, again these "translation-suxx" people.

I have seen the film in cinema in German, and it was fine. You only look for a reason to complain (how typically german). I think I know what the problem of you people is:
You ALWAYS think translation is bad, and you would never change this position, even if a tranlation (like Ep. III) is actually good.

For information to other board members:
The people who always complain about the dubbing are the most annoying in German SW boards, many can't stand their whining anymore.

It's possible that you approve of the dubbing, but you must realize that perhaps a lot of people don't (I don't know how the situation is in Germany). Here in Sweden, dubbing isn't accepted (thankfully) and I can't even imagine a movie such as ROTS being dubbed into Swedish. It's a horrible concept. It doesn't surprise me that a lot of people on the continent (not you Tribun) aren't good with languages as it seems as if they're very seldom confronted by them. English has been mandatory here in Swedish schools (beginning in elementary school) for over sixty years and in Swedish high schools for over a century (since the 1860's, even though there has been many reforms since then).
Are all the showings dubbed into German?

There are, with few exceptions, only dubbed fils in the cinemas. Ep.III is shown nearly everywhere in Germany only in German.

And English is also mandatory in German schools for at least six years. But people want to enjoy the film, not wanting to translate everything they hear (most likely horribly deformed by accent) or having to concentrate on subtitles.

If you dare not to dub your film here, only using subtitles or even say the people should learn English, you can be sure that:
a)you will be seen as arrogant.
b)nearly no one wants to see your film.

To not translate is flimatic suicide here.

Alright, thanks for the info! To clarify, movies are subtitled here in Sweden.

That is not as seldom as you make it to be.
Here in Stuttgart there were several showings in English, and there's a whole cinema showing original-version only.

Oh please shut up...
I don't say that (most) translations are "tear your ears off" terrible, but the English version is the ORIGINAL version, and usually the voices have more meaning, and for me quite important, do have accents, which makes them more lifelike.
And then you have the many instances, where the translation butchers the meaning of a sentence. And then we aren't even talking about humour...
Ever watched ANY Austin Powers in German? It's horrid, painful...
I have seen the film in cinema in German, and it was fine. You only look for a reason to complain (how typically german). I think I know what the problem of you people is:
You ALWAYS think translation is bad, and you would never change this position, even if a tranlation (like Ep. III) is actually good.
Translation IS (in 99%) bad when you compare it to the original version, because it always will fail to convey the completer meaning and often have sub-par voices. I just prefer to actually see and hear a movie as it was meant to be, not some butchered version in German. The translation errors are everywhere, but if you close your ears and go "na na na" it won't help...

Just watch Babylon 5 in English and German... There are errors and ommisions by the truckload...
For information to other board members:
The people who always complain about the dubbing are the most annoying in German SW boards, many can't stand their whining anymore.
I'm on no other SW-related board, so again, shut up.
I for one can't stand people like you. I reckon it is mostly because you're not capable of following a original version or something...

If you people want to talk about the pros and cons of subtitles versus dubs, go start a thread somewhere. Don't fucking do it here.

Dahak, you annoy me.

And of course I can follow SW in English also. But after hearing the OT in English, I really have no clue, what you think is so great about it. (same for the PT)
But what I care, you already made it clear that you made up your dogma.

That said, I'm through with this.

Like it's been said before, this seems to be a direct tie in to the CWC, where Mace force crushes Grievous' chest. He doesn't have a cough in any other preceding literature or CWC, so his coughing fit is most likely directly linked to his encounter with Windu.

Honestly like I said to Dalton and gang. It was enjoyable and the romance scenes weren't bad. A bit corny but for me compared to AoTC?

Pfft, not even a comparison.

It was a damn fine Star Wars flick. Funnily enough I would liked more battle, but what they did provide was excellent in a variety of ways. A shitload of delving in there.
