I just read this article about the Kansas evolution debate and it has so much insanity it's scary!

These answers are from a wackjob named Warren Nord and the questions posed by attorney Pedro Irigonegaray:
"Is it important to have religion taught in economics class?"
Nord: "Yes."
"What about math class?"
Nord: "I can make a case for that."
Or how about this from Connie Morrie who is a member of the school board (!):
"Did you know there is evidence now that prayer is beneficial in treating cancer?"
ARRRGH!!! I can just see the textbooks now:
Geometry, The Creator, and You
Algebraic problem solving with God
Surgical Procedures through Prayer
Internal Medicine and the Church
How these people are on school boards, etc. is something I will never understand! How do they avoid constant ridicule?

Christian math = 1+1+1=1. Woohoo! Remember, it's not necessarily "wrong" it's just an "alternate" view.

Re: And I was afraid of religion entering the science class.
Because of course, we don't have to follow sound financial or economic advice, we simply need to pray to god and he'll make it all better. Cause we asked him. These answers are from a wackjob named Warren Nord and the questions posed by attorney Pedro Irigonegaray:

Oh and that whole Pi=3.1415926.... ? Yeah, that's wrong because the Bible sez it's actually 3.
What did you expect? She's a fundie on the school board who was all but fellating the creationists after their testimony. Even when they were assraped by the questions.Or how about this from Connie Morrie who is a member of the school board (!):
"Did you know there is evidence now that prayer is beneficial in treating cancer?"
They're on the school boards because they were elected by fundy morons. They avoid ridicule because of politics, i.e. if the non-moronic school board members (or others in a position of power over any of this) were to mock their idiocy, they wouldn't be pointing out bullshit, they'd be oppressing the poor, poor Christians, who're only trying to practice they're religion...How these people are on school boards, etc. is something I will never understand! How do they avoid constant ridicule?
But not force their religion down our throats.
Jesus fried Christ, that's 3 eyeroll smileys in one post... that must be some kind of record. For me that is.

Quick, check the Constitution! Is there any rule against granting a state permanant autonomy?!?
