Simple, rate the Star Wars prequel trilogy as a whole.

***** = work of pure genius, - = utter and total crap, the rest fall between the two extremes.

Voted four. Work of a genius. Demented and at times misguided, but overall, yeah, some form of genius.

Let's see...

TPM = **
AotC = ****
RotS = ***

2+4+3=9 and nine divided by three equals three so I'll give it *** (or good, but not great).

As a whole?

Two. RoTS was very good, didn't make up for the feeling the other two were just blah to me.

I never really minded the PT, although TPM as a whole was pretty bad (Maul and Qui-gon excluded.) AOTC was not as good as it shoud have been, but not a disappointment. RotS was one of the best of the series. I give it a **** (the OT gets a *****.)

I voted *** for the PT overall. Here's how I brake it down by movie:

TPM - **
AOTC - **
ROTS - *****

I just saw ROTS yesterday, so I might be over-hyping it, but in all honesty it was decidedly the best of the PT, and ties ESB as my favorite of the Saga.

Overall ***

TPM was totally useless as a prequel movie and not even very entertaining.
Has some good stuff in it, but was a disappointment as a whole.
**½

AotC Improved from the TPM, and was pretty fun to watch. ***

RotS was best of the lot and had that star wars feel to it, that was lacking in the previous movies.

4 stars.

**1/2 for TPM. Somewhat fun, but cringeworthy in moments.

*** For AoTC. A few awkward moments, otherwise great fun.

**** For RoTS. I needn't say anything.

I'd give it a 3.5-4 stars.

ROTS made up for the lackluster first movie, and AOTC had it's good moments to stand on it's own, imo.

edit: whoops made a mistake with this post. fixed

I'll give it top scores, not only because of ROTS, but because I actully liked TPM and most of AOTC.

three stars. TPM was just abysmal. ATOC was good. ROTS (which i finally saw last night) blew my fucking mind.

Three stars. TPM was bad but it had moments. AOTC was okay. As far as ROTS, I won't know till tomorrow, but by the reviews it's better than AOTC. That rounds it out to an even "Just Average."
