Whatever. Everyone has their own tastes, and I'll admit that I like TOS and the early TNG, though I consider the late ST series to have been rather poorly done.

As long as we're coming clean, I too have a confession. I like Enterprise.
data_link has resigned from the board after proving himself to be a relentless strawman-using asshole in this thread and being too much of a pussy to deal with the inevitable flames. Buh-bye.

We don't hate Star Trek, we just hate the bastardization of it caused by B&B.Yogi wrote:Wow. These are the first non-hostile comments towards Star Trek I've seen on these boards.

The problem with that rapid trekkies is that they run too damn fast.arctic_series wrote:nothing wrong with liking trek.
just because one likes trek doesn't mean it's technology has to be better than [insert random sci-fi], that's the problem with rapid trekkies.

I think alot of times anti-trek comments are used on this board as ammunition against trolls and rabid trekkies. That, or because they're anti-B&B sentiments, which makes sense, as they've totally ruined what was likeable about TOS and even the good parts of TNG.
Anyway, I'm hoping it's mainly troll ammo and hyberbole, otherwise we've got alot of irrational flamers on this board (sometimes it sure seems like it, though).

Whats not to like about star trek (aside from wesley, bad acting, and a unheathy trust in there tech.) I mean it's fun and funny at times and in some cases gives hope for the future.
Me the big reason why I like Star Wars is that it is more like the world we live in today just way out there plus the fact I am a power hungry individual who loves dominating others.
