Only if the T-850 can draw a bead on Grievous, which will be very difficult with the way he moves.

We know the Terminator can jerk himself very fast. As evidenced by his grabbing the shotgun before the guy can shoot him, and other incidents. The minigun weighs nothing to Ahnuld. So by the time Gravy gets too close yet not within lightsaber striking range, BANG! Or BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG!!!!!! to be precise.

The only thing that I'm unconvinced about the T-1000 is the whole 'look like a floor and spike him' line everyone's saying. I'm sorry, we saw the T-1000 in T2 and IIRC, when he was part of the floor, and little blobs re-forming; he didn't do so at a rate anywhere near fast enough to spike a quadriplegic with flat batteries.

Mike's idea of morphing like a Magnaguard is the best so far (as well as others who thought along those lines).

Ah, and I never said the T-1000 would or could make himself a spike from the floor. Although it's not impossible. He spiked Todd very fast in T2, and he could do something quite similar while being part of the floor, while making the spike a bit longer. But maybe he was able to spike Todd quickly because he already had a significant and concentrated amount of polymetal that he could extend (finger...arm) while being morphed as a floor would spread the polymetal out. Can anyone understand my ranting?

Yes, and that is exactly my thinking on the matter (spread over a large surface area and small volume, propagation rate will be slow). I'm not arguing that as a biped, he couldn't change one of his arms into a spike pretty damn fast, but when his about as think as one coat of paint, he seems to reform (or just form) very slowly.

Besides (it's been a while since I've seen T2), wasn't Arnie or Sarah walking over the 'floor mode T-1000' in the movie? It seems like if he could have done it then, he would have.

That was the fat security guard who got his head impaled. He walked over the T-1000, Robert Patrick reformed and doppleganged him and then impaled his head.

If he can't move quickly while spread thin, he can still take a form that will let him attack from underneath--an R2 droid, perhaps, or just some random metal geegaw that always seems to be laying around in Star Wars. The point is, stealth is the T-1000's biggest asset, and it's foolish to try a frontal attack when he's designed for ambush. The T-800 and T-X have to attack head on, but not the T-1000.

I agree, that's why I pointed out that the T-1000 forming himself into a Magnaguard would be an awesome threat to Greivous.

You wanna prove a gattling gun can pierce his armor plates despite the fact lighter stormie gear can stop bullets and the statement about handling a laser blast?

And guys the fact that he didn't die from a massive radiation dose despite being outside the ship in the middle of a huge battle implies he has some kind of low level shielding.

I just watched ROTS again, and Grievous doesn't go down with the first shot to the gut. Obi-wan plugs him once, but Grievous just hesitates and then continues with his attack. Obi-wan ended up shooting him five times, all direct hits to Grievous' vulnerable gutsack, before he was satisfied with the results.

The kinetic damage might do it. And we never see blaster bolts rip straight through people.

Or just has the tolerance level of cockroaches. Or his armor being lead-lined or something.
