Puzzle? Cards? Brain Teasers?
My mother is obsessed with Bejewled, my father is obsessed with Age of Empires. AOE isn't quite free but it's soooo old you can probably get it for like $1 somewhere.Faram wrote:Okay I am setting up a old computer for my mom and dad.

For a free puzzle game, I recommend the Dyson's Telescope game. Its an online game but you can downloadall of the levels for free. The rules and object of the game are simple, plus it has different levels of difficulty. Its very satisfying yet addicting: you use a series of telescopes to push or pull a ball toward the goal.Faram wrote:All of those.DarkSilver wrote:mmm...

Tetris, misc card games and mahjongg is the current favorites
True, but it doesn't exactly fit in with the genre's Faram listed.Sir Sirius wrote:My dad quite liked it. Besides, Faram is thirty something, it's not like his mamma och pappa are going to take away his computer or anything.Praxis wrote:You're recommending that parents download GTA. Brilliant
It also lacks decent documentation and is very complex...General Brock wrote:I don't know what games your parents would like, so:
Battlecruiser. Not a bad game, but it's not supported, though.

Not a free complete game, but a very generous demo with no time limit. Possibly more their speed, too.
Oops. Good point. The game is a little to ambitious for its execution.Melchior wrote:It also lacks decent documentation and is very complex...General Brock wrote:I don't know what games your parents would like, so:

I don't think that they would like it.
Well, yes. I really like the theme music to pocket tanks, though. Why get a demo when you can get the same basic game for free aaaaannnnd be able to play other people at it? http://www.scorch2000.com
