Yep, Ganner Rysode's blade was a sulphurous yellow.
Wonderful, exactly the discription I had in mind for the color. Thank you for the info.
Edit: Oh yeah...now I remember that guy. I must have picked up that color from the book where he bites it.

If had to pick from the ones I've seen already, I kind of like Sidious' lightsabre, though I would have done the gold parts in silver.

Were I designing my own, I'd go with a simple unit like what Obi-Wan gave to Luke, projecting a white beam. Since I have little hands and arms for my size, I'd make the handle a bit more narrow and the blade a bit longer than is usual, so I can keep my grip better and so I can have decent reach.

Vader's especially for the adjustable blade, go from dueling to opening beers in seconds!

Anakin Skywalker's RotS/ANH lightsabre (although I'm much more partial to the ANH variation). If I were to buy one of those Master Replica sabres, that one would be it.

And as an aside, I've always liked the idea of a pure-white sabre blade, as Foster's ANH novelisation described it.

I like Luke's in RotJ and Obi-Wan's in RotS and ANH. Blue colour, preferably. If not blue, I'll go with a rainbow coloured one. :D

Pistol grip. Dual blades running alongside each other.

The idea being that you enter sabrelock and then ignite the second blade, trapping their blade between your two, where you can excercise the superior grip and leverage of the pistol grip design to disarm them.

I'd prefer to go for a bronze colour on the sabre blades, but yellow would do just fine.

Dooku's hilt, blue blade.

I like Palpy's lightsaber. It's pretty.

Although for myself, I'd prefer twin lightdaggers. That would be cool.

I rather favor Dooku's lightsaber. It truly brings to mind the phrase "an elegant weapon...for a more civilized age."

Maul's saber. Although I do like Vader's, oddly enough.

I'd take two sabers, each with adjustable blade lengths (as seen in 'I, Jedi'). The main color would be bronze, though when they were adjusted to full length the secondary crystal would give it a silver sheen.

The hilts, as is appropriate for a one-handed saber, would be slightly shorter than normal, but with the vital parts as far from the bases as possible. The bases would connect so that I could utilise the sabers as a saber staff, should it become preferrable.

Does anybody besides me remember the left-handed lightdagger that Luke uses in one of the old Marvel Star Wars comics to fight Lady Lumiya with? I believe the issue in question came out in '83, and I can't remember ANY of the other specifics.

Two such short handles, connected end to end, would force you to grip this thing with your hands almost touching each other in the center. It would make an exceptionally poor weapon.

I'd go with twin Dooku style lightsabers, like Asajj Ventriss. Then, make the blades green. That would totally pwn :o

I would have lightsabres like that were like the Psi Blades on a Zealot of the Starcraft game.

Hm...tough choice, tough choice...

I have to narrow it down to one of three possibilities.
1) Dual blades, styled after the sabres that Dooku gave Asajj Ventress, with a golden or orange blade color.
2) Dual pistol-grip sabres, otherwise as above. (If that's technically achievable).
3) A lightsaber-spear, with the handle made of phrikk, and an adjustable or extra-long blade length; possibly also a three-section spear with the saber as a spearblade. Blade color as above.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.

I like short viridian Yoda sized blade attached to a collapsable pole arm ( Like a Minbari fighting pike) made of lightsabre resistant materials.

I'd have to go with an Exar Kun style double blade with twin blades.

I gotta go with the Mack Daddy's as seen in RotS and ANH - the only lightsabre that has been wielded by a man with 1.5 confirmed Sith Kills; a record un-surpassed in the Jedi Order in the film period! :D  :P

No lightsaber hit me as hard as when Luke Skywalker fired up this green lightsaber out of R2-D2 and started kicking serious ass. I was nine years old at the time ROTJ was first in theaters.

I always loved the design. I loved the scene where Vader is handling it and talking to Luke about his new lightsaber. I was shocked when the blue one went bye-bye in TESB, but I was happy with the replacement. :)

Palpatine's saber, but with a silver blade. In my left hand, I'd like something similar to the shields the gungans carried, or a light dagger in purple. I would also try to incorporate some light armour into my getup - gauntlets and braces made out of the same material as those lightsabre blocking staves from ROTS would be nice, likewise a breastplate of some kind and perhaps shin-guards.
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

I'd go for twin sabers siver colored with bronze bases all the controls inside a hatch. (I'd use the force to activate and deactivate them)

Also I'd use TK to control two duel blade sabers with red beams and black handles. Assumeing I can keep focused I'd be a force to deal with.

Or at the least give myself time to retreat and rest, or start the duel before I engage and return my duel blades to my side.
