Which reminds me, I should point out how rolling for damage works. Upon a successful attack, the attacker rolls their weapons die code (or rolls their Strength plus the weapon's bonus in the case of melee weapons) against the target's Strength (plus whatever protection they're wearing, if any).

So if someone with 3D+2 Strength gets hit with a 5D blaster rifle bolt, it might end up like this:

(5D damage roll: 14)
(3D+2 Strength roll: 10)

The difference is 4. The resulting injury can be found on the damage chart:

0-3: Stunned (-1D to actions for rest of orund and next round. Can fall unconsious if stunned more than 2-3 times)
4-8: Wounded (Cannot take any more actions rest of round, -1D to actions untill healed)
9-12: Incapacitated (Falls unconcious for 10D minutes. Can't take any more actions untill healed)
13-15: Mortally Wounded (falls unconcious, dies within 2D minutes unless stabilized or healed)
16+: Killed

In this game, I go with the guideline that characters shouldn't be outright killed unless if it results from the player being completely uncooperative or foolish. Clever or better-planned actions tend not to fail outright simply from bad rolling luck.

And I should point out, I never expected to win, what with my character not being a melee fighter. :P

That makes two of us. I figured the difference in skill would keep it from dragging out too long and be amusing to run. :P

Spanky on the other hand was very tense about being snuck up upon or killed. Untill he recalled what sort of equipment you had he thought the sound of your recorder falling out was a grenade. His first instinct was to run the hell away even though he was in the corner and it dropped on the other side of a big stack of crates.

Shucks, I missed the stupidity. :P

And no, there aint much to rebel over in this part of Oversector Bright Jewel. It's neutral/fringe-centric. It's about a year before Ep IV. Maybe piracy or bounty-hunting if they players try to aquire the right things. It's their own little sandbox to start from I guess.

This is all I got for Prozhians for now. I'll add a few special abilities later, the first one being 2D extra skill dice to buy two archaic-related skills (like firearms, repair and piloting) at 1D each. The other abilities should be minor bonuses to certain skills.

Pa'rozhians
Attribute Dice: 12D
Dexterity: 1D/3D+2
Knowledge: 2D/4D
Mechanical: 1D+2/3D+2
Perception: 2D+1/4D
Strength: 3D/4D+2
Technical: 1D/3D+1
Special Skills:
Special Abilities:
Story Factors:
Move: 10/13
Size: 1.5 to 2.1 meters tall

Sorry about no-showing last night, my connection chose to die on me around midnight for the rest of the night.

BTW, what days will we be doing this on? every night, or just select ones?

Actually, I'd probably rather have a smoke bomb or a flash gernade- something as lethal as a thermal detonator wouldn't make a good impression if I had to give up all my weapons for a search. :P

I'm also going to be adding a PDA-type computer to my equipment, so I can access shipping information and such while on the go. The recording rod can connect to download faudio, obviously.

I protest the name "Ken-Ohki."

Come on, you can do better than that. :P

Uts tells me that Pa'rozhian names generally conform to human baseline, with some occasional vague exotic injection.

He's got a point there. It'd probably be salvagable as "Ken Okeeys", taking my suggestion for a short first name into account.

Anywho, for one you omitted the 6D player Attribute dice, which is part of the typical 18D total attribute die seen in the other character sheets.

Taking into acount the maximums, you might end up distributing it this way:

Dexterity 2D
Knowledge 3D
Mechanical 2D
Perception 4D
Bargain 5D
Strength 3D+2
Technical 3D+1
Ground Vehicle Repair 5D+1
Computer Programming/Repair 5D+1
Space Transport Repair 5D+1

That's also omitting the listing skills that are the same to the base attribute, which is redundant. And no, you don't have to comment on how short 5'4" is every time. :P

And that was because I copy-pasted it from the original. Didn't notice.

And here's Prozhians' racial bonuses:

blunt claws: +2 to brawling damage.
Thick Fur: Pa'rozhians have a dense layer of heat-absorbing hair that adds +1D to stamina checks in cold environments. However, their checks in environments in hot, intense sunlight are -1D unless they can keep shaded or covered in loose, reflective clothing.
Space Pioneers: The Pa'rozha Confederation is slowly building up their own space civilization in a remote part of the Outer Rim, led by dilligent idependant Pa'rozhian 'lanerunners' and their focus on various 'low-tech' skills. At the time of character creation only, they receive 2D to spend on two of the following skills: Firearms, Vehicle Firearms, Planetary Systems: Pa'rozha Confed, Survival: Space, Archaic Starship Piloting, Astrogation: Pa'rozhan Confed, Ground Vehicle Operation, Sensors, Archaic Starship Repair, Firearm Repair, or Ground Vehicle Repair.

Going by that last special ability, Since one of the skill die put into Ground Vehicle Repair counts as a free, I would reccomend putting 1D into another normal skill (like Starship weapon repair) and then pick a second skill from that list. It'll put you back at having 7D plus 2D in two extra skills.

EDIT: Here's the finalized setup we went over:

Dexterity 2D
Knowledge 3D

Planetary Systems 4D
Mechanical 2D
Ground Vehicle Operation 3D
Starship Shields 3D
Perception 4D
Bargain 5D
Search 5D
Strength 3D+2
Technical 3D+1
Droid Programming 4D+1
Ground Vehicle Repair 4D+1
Computer Programming/Repair 4D+1
Space Transport Repair 4D+1

And for equipment, I *was* going to suggest some Pa'rozhian-related ship stuff, but seeing as you've spent almost all your spacer time outside the sector, I'm out of ideas other than some defensive weapon (laser, utility knife, shotgun, etc), a flightsuit, and a general-use toolkit.

And here's Tycho's Rodian mercenary bloke's skills:

Dexterity: 4D+2
Blaster 5D+2
Blaster: heavy blaster carbine 6D+2
Dodge 5D+2
Knowledge: 3D
Streetwise: 4D
Mechanical: 1D+2
Sensors: helmet comlink 2D+2
Sensors: helmet vision enhancers 2D+2
Perception: 3D+2
Sneak: 4D+2
Strength: 3D
Stamina: 4D
Technical: 2D
Armor repair: Corellian heavy armor 3D
Blaster repair: 3D

Equipment: Corellian heavy armor (+2D physical, +1D energy), helmet's built-in encryptable comlink and macroviewfinder with nightvision (+3D to search over 100 meters, +3D versus darkness penalties when active but -1D in bright light), heavy blaster carbine (5D+2), four fragmentation grenades (5D), hand-held comlink, 430 credits

There's his new equipment we discussed. It's about in line with DPDP's and Spanky's items + money (~5,000-6,000). I have currently split up his last 1D of skill die into 3 specializations which I thought Tycho would find beneficial. I also threw in 1D for another essential Sensors specialization for good measure.

I've also got a small starship available (about 28m long, 6 passengers, 5 ton cargo space, one gun). I'll let someone have it if they can either get joint ownership with another PC or just put up with a ~10k debt.

Ok, so far I've got two characters which are in a completely finished state. What I've wanted to do next is run a quick mini-adventure with them; take them for a bit of a broad-range spin, so to speak. The last time was just to freshen up on GMing combat, so this would mostly be establishing the starting area and getting things up and running on a character-by-character basis. It also should allow me to confirm how many more character points I should give for characters to learn new skills before beginning the adventures proper. So far I've got 15 Character Points in mind, which I'll give after this mini-episode to every completed character to spend on additional skills.

Anydangwho, the premise once again is the characters are in a major spaceport of Tollo Prime on planet Otzo. For whatever reason they've determined (asides from the likely opportunity to make money), they've arrived here on hteir way to the remote industrialized world of Dio, a backwater system with a 'shady' reputation just getting by. The sector, and Dio in particular, has been recently marketing itself as slowly becoming a worthwhile job environment, improving its economy and available work without quickly filling up and smothering itself like some 'new' booning worlds. To some this may sound like a place for great job opportunities, other heard this and immediately thought 'underground'.

The Rimward Spacelanes starliner trip to Dio has been delayed several hours due to low number of passengers. They've managed to secure a freighter to set up passenger space for this flight. In the meantime, I guess you can dally about or look for stuff to do. Tollo Prime is a pretty dense city, its tall reflective skyscrapers huddled together and interconnected by swarms of skywalks like cobwebs. Their foundations are surrounded by two decks of ferrocrete roadways. On the Northeast side of this metropolitan hub is the planet's main spaceport: a massive stretch of paved landing zones and a complex of half perhaps a dozen open and closed-roof docking bays. Beyond these parts of Tollo Prime are little more than single-story buldings, the only small places of business of note are most are likely surrounding this spaceport, catering to travellers such as the party. There should be plenty of stores with import items, and perhaps entertainment like cantinas, places of gambling, or shooting galleries and other test-of-skill games. Might even come accross businesses you never expected to find around here.

Shir'iya, there's an Elf in front of you.
Whoa, I mean there's a Human in front of you. That's Ghito, right? I guess you two can talk to eachother now. ((Go ahead and settle how, if at all, you two know eatchother before now. You may have traveled along on the same ships through several secotrs to get there, and IIRC Lorrdians' Kanz Sector and Trianii Space are almost adjacent. Determine what you're interested in doing for now or looking for. I'll tally things up once that's settled and both of you have posted your chosen courses of actions))

I was walking aimlessly through the not very dense crowd in the main terminal of Tollo Prime's spaceport, killing time until my transport finally is rescheduled to depart or is cancelled outright. In which case, I'm thankful that my boarding pass is at least seventy-five percent refundible.

Suddenly I see someone that I recognise, someone I haven't seen on this side of the Outer Rim before. He looks human, more or less, but he isn't. I make sure my silver jumpsuit and green flight jacket are in check before walking over to him.

((I was about to point out DPDP already determined you two hadn't previously met, but I guess he lucks out due to dilly-dallying. At least I didn't go with my devious plan of just declaring you two to be raised as brother and sister by Wookiees yet they arranged married you as husband and wife. :P))

((I guess anyone who's got a completed skill and equipment list and also lets me know of what kind of character they are as a whole/in general can jump in somewhere here, too. But you still have to write up some kind of physical description and personality/background. Bums!))
