Hmm... how much are the extraordinary questions of these clone-army template candidates a product of their environment and how much a product of their genes?

I would pick Paul Atreides from Dune - he's the result of a successful century-spanning Bene Gesserit eugenics program to create a messiah, after all.

Teela Brown or Jacques Clouseau. Can you imagine an entire army of these guys? It's terrifying.

That should've been "necessarily", of course.

Jack O'Neil. Great pilot, great officer, great fighter. Only issue would be insubordination.

Yoda: Redundant shields, this ship lacks.
JH-523: So it has no redundancy?

The big question is, why would clones of these people automatically get the donater character shields. Most likely a clone of Kirk would be on redshirt level. How many duplicates of Kirk were made over TOS? How many lived longer than a few days?

Lara Croft. Not only would they kick ass, but they'd be sweet to watch.

Can't. She doesn't fit into the armour we already ordered.

The O'Neil Curse would also work in their favor. All they need to do is get a clonetrooper onto an enemy ship, then it's doomed.

The O'Neilll curse has long since been proven false by the Prometheus as well as that Asgard ship from New Order and a few others.

Oh, no, my friend, I beg to differ

Dutsch Schaefer from the first Predator-movie or Melbar Kasom from the PR-universe (the only problem with the later would be, how do you feed such an army :P ).

And clone Lara for recreation-time.

Croft would be more useful as a clone source against the Rebellion. The droids aren't going to be distracted by her charms, and the increased frontal surface area would make even Trade Fed Droids jobs a lot easier.

Personally I'd suggest Arnold Schwarzneggers character in Total Recall. Pretty damn tough physically, but also mentally tough enough to go through all he does.

Ah, but Scarlet wasn't indestructible until after he died and was replaced by a Mysteron indestructible clone.
...
waaaaait.

Screw the Kamino, ship the Mysterons someone like Mace Windu. Armies of indestructible jedi. =D

According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

Of course we then could even come to a result like:
"What do you mean the troopers I ordered? These are bloody pepperpots!"
