Darth Maul vs. Aragorn

Post by Shocker »

I have a proposal of several scenarios involving these characters. Basically however it involves a melee battle between Aragorn and Darth Maul with several set of conditions.

Scenario One: Darth Maul versus Aragorn (minus only precognition) in a wide, fully enclosed warehouse type of scene. They both know of each others capabilities.

Scenario Two: Same scenario as above but without force powers and only a skill versus skill match if it is possible to gauge Darth Maul's fighting ability without force powers.

Darth Maul wins the first one easily, but probably loses the second.

1. Maul, lightsaber will whomp on Aragorn.

2. Maul maybe. It depends on how much innate non-force ability that Maul has both in weilding his lightsaber as well as in agility. He has martial arts skill, though that is really just Ray Park. His ability with a lightsaber I do not know.

Perhaps a more interesting debate would involve Aragorn or Beren against Jango Fett in unarmed combat. Both are essentially geneticall perfect humans, except that Jango does not have the Force like Darth Maul does.

Oh my mistake. To clarify on weapons, they are either each given a double lightsaber for Maul and a lightsaber for Aragorn or a double bladed sword for Maul and a typical Middle Earth longsword for Aragorn weaponwise.

What about skill wise? A lightsaber isn't exactly like a sword. And Maul probably couldn't swing a sword like he does with a lightsaber.

Well unfortunately, it'd be rather odd if a Jedi has only trained with a lightsaber. Either way, Maul has a choice of whatever sword he'd believe is most balanced compared to his double bladed lightsaber or a regular lightsaber.

Maul hands Aragorn his ass in both fights. He had trained extensively in non-force combat techniques and with many kings of weapon. Aragorn is tough but not that tough.

1. Maul

2. Hard to say given that how the Lightsaber is handled and especially how much is known how the Jedi/Sith rely upon the Force persay for combat.

I agree though it should be Jango/Boba vs Aragorn since they have no real special abilities persay and are purely trained.

Maybe. Training jedi have training lightsabers. Maul might never have even used a sword before.

Easy. Give Aragorn a magic sword that can blaock a lightsaber.

Be nicer but I doubt it's gonna do much given what a Sith has as his arsenal.

the second scenario still favors Aragorn more unless Maul is given some evidence of being trained in some true physical way.(not just some skills in conjunction with the Force)

1. Maul
2. Maul, though not as easily as before.

[1] Darth Maul's ability to see slightly into the future and slow his opponent's moves while also using the force to slow them will ensure victory.

[2] Not real sure.

1) a single Force shove, ends it before it begins.

2) Owning the Darth Maul mini series, where he kills dozens of the best trained killers in the galaxy (effortlessly I might add), I say Maul takes is easily.
