Ah, never played it. Any background on these guys? Any websites with a good history? There is so much junk on the web, I'd like a player to point me at the correct information.

Necrons are from the Games Workshop game Warhammer 40,000.
Think of a t-800 from Terminator and you can't go far wrong with the basic Necron. The main differences are that their weapons are a helluva lot nastier (they strip away atoms at an incredible rate, think watching some1s skin being flayed off, then their muscles,bones,etc in a few seconds.) and there also a lot of variations.

geeze Gamesworkshop models are sooo expensive.
