Sci-fi Cage Catfight

Post by Majin Gojira »

Scenario: Futurisitc-post-appocaliptic steel cage fighting ring. Throngs of fans surround the arena, all betting on the outcome

In the end, the fans are the real winners, but, lets look at the fight.

Rules:
1. Win By KO or Submission
2. Um...try not to kill your opponent

Combatants:

Faith - Vampire Slayer (From Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, and Angel)
ht: approx 5'5"
Maximum (once-in a lifetime level) stats)
Deadlift: 2.5 tons (5,000lbs)*
Longjump: 157ft
Vert Jump: 25.5ft*
Running Speed: 69mph
Sprinting Speed: 126mph

Other Advantages:
Slayer Healing: Able to heal quickly from wounds, even greivous ones
Slayer Durability: hit with Ford Truck going 35mph and able to run away from the gathering crowd.
Slayer Senses: Sense Presence of Evil
Slayer Weapons Training and Fighting Skills: Inate abilities, but training is still nessesary for more complex maneuvers.

Max 'Guevara' - Manticore Solder (from the now defunct Series Dark Angel )
ht: approx 5'7"
Averages (approximation)
Deadlift: 2400lbs (1.2tons)
Longjump: 75ft
Vert. Jump: 15ft*
Running Speed: 33mph
Sprinting Speed: 60mph

Advantages:
Military Training: underwent +7 years of military training, including combat training
Animal Agility: Very agile
Stem-cells in blood stream: able to heal the most greivous of injuries, even spinal injuries.
Durability: Hit with a regular sized honda and walked away with a grunt.
Super Senses: Telescopic vision, super-sensitive hearing, possibly other enhanced senses.

So....

It's obviouse who is stronger, the question is, will the training be enough to compensate for the difference in strength?

Remember, they do not really want to expose themselves as 'superior beings', and are in it for the money they can earn. as such, they will not kill each other, nor will they use their super-abilities right off the bat.

* = Cannon Supported

My Vote:
Max is KOed by a terrible bearhug from Faith.
ISARMA: Daikaiju Coordinator: Just Add Radiation
Justice League- Molly Hayes: Respect Hats or Freakin' Else!
Browncoat
Supernatural Taisen - "[This Story] is essentially "Wouldn't it be awesome if this happened?" Followed by explosions."

Reviewing movies is a lot like Paleontology: The Evidence is there...but no one seems to agree upon it.

From what little I've seen of Faith, she possesses only the barest sense of technique, and what little she does have is largely self-taught. Whereas Max is quicker and able to use this advantage by locks and throws, which aren't really dependent on strength parity. If Max goes full speed, she can run rings around Faith.

Max. Faith is at best a brawler, she's get her ass kicked by any one with decent technique. She's always relied on her advantages t carry her through, against equal opponents she usually loses. Look at her fights with Buffy, she never won one.

Now Faith seducing Max is something I wouldn't mind seeing at all.
