Fundi camp for gays (need advice)

I was wondering if anyone had any advice for my friend Allie. She's is planning a protest in the Atlanta area against a 'refuge' run by fundi's to convert gays. That link above is a blog by a kid that is getting sent there. Here is the AIM conversation I had with Allie.

SilverClover14: oh.. i forgot to mention.. it's a camp to turn gay kids straight... and they're being held against their will and the rules instated don't seem legal at all
SilverClover14: for instance, they make you quit school if you go during the school year... and it's not like it's a school
MplsJocc: do you have a lawyer helping you guys? because if it's under any mental institution laws or whatever, your protest could mean crap

I can't see this actually doing anything (if anyone were brazen enough to open something like this, they'd set it up so that it was airtight, like this place in Jamaica)....but maybe a good ol' media shitstorm brewing on their front steps will cause some embarrassment, at least.

I was going to post this earlier today in N&P...don't think there's much legal recourse without evidence of abuse.

..then again, a "Boot Camp" for rebellious/troublesome teens locally managed to kill one of their inmates by standing him out in 110 degree farenheit weather, the kicker was that at his autopsy they found soil in his trachea and stomach; the kid was forced to eat dirt before he was set out to die in the sun.
IIRC the guy responsible got 12 years for it.

Why abuse your children when you can pay thugs to do it for you?

The rules should explain it. They feature such delightful rules as these:

All new Refuge clients will be placed into Safekeeping for the initial two to three days of their program. A client on safekeeping may not communicate verbally, or by using hand gestures or eye contact, with any other clients, staff members, or his/her parents or guardians. In case of a practical need, Safekeeping clients may write down their question or request and show it to another client, staff member, or their parent or guardian. Refuge clients may not enter any of the client spaces on campus before submitting to an F.I. search. All belongings brought to campus will be searched, including book bags, notebooks, wallets, handbags, purses, etc. Items that violate the F.I. policy or the dress code will be held for the client, to be returned no later than the client¹s last day in program. Clients may request to have their F.I. items returned by filling out a C.O.C.

Another rule: you can't go into public restrooms without supervision. And I don't know how tightly your home bathroom habits are monitored, but it might be difficult.
