IH = spents 12,000 tons of fuel per second.
VNSD = spents 40,000 tons of fuel per second.
So it would already take 3 IHs to fight a single Venator until the many torpedos of the modified Providence can compensate for the weaker power in turbolasers.
ISD > VNSD.

The optimist thinks, that we live in the best of all possible worlds and the pessimist is afraid, that this is true.

It would be better to use the standard Providence Destroyer. It's probably better optimised for anti-ship work.

I wouldn't write off the IH's just because even three of them combined can't match an ISD's reactor output. This isn't a straight energy weapon fight, the Invisible Hand isn't outfitted for direct combatant but rather for long range bombardment with its torpedo launchers.
The vast majority of its firepower would come from its 102 proton torpedo launchers which would draw minimal power from its meager reactor. According to one figure I saw thrown around from an X-Wing book, 24 of a proton torp capable of being launched from an X-Wing can bring down one section of VSD shielding. An ISD's reactor output is roughly 2.8x that of a VSD according to SWTech so it stands to reason that 67.2 starfighter calibre anti-ship protons can down a section of ISD shielding. So a full salvo from an Invisible Hand could be quite capable of breaching an ISD's shields with 34 torpedos remaining to be intercepted or damage the hull.
Even at about slightly less than 1/9th of the power output of an ISD, each Invisible Hand's shields are still capable of standing up to multiple heavy turbolaser strikes.
