The wings on those ties look a bit small.

anyway, the Delta-7 was a pre-war fighter. Defensive in nature, shielded, lightly armed, still generally for diplomacy and fast transportation.

The Eta-2 on the other hand is pure interceptor, using what power would have powered the shields to enhance its acceleration and firepower. Its obviously upgunned from the Delta-7, and is more appropriate for wartime.

Plo-Koon's Delta-7 was probably heavily modified, and he perhaps had a preference for the finesse and slightly better protection of the Aethersprite over the Actis. I just bet it had a bigger trunk, too.

I always thought that the Defender was larger then the other TIEs.

Or is that just how the toy was scaled?

Probably the bridge tower. I don't know if it's oversized, but the sensor domes most certainly are.

The hell did they do to it? I have both the corvette and the ISD, and neither of them are as fucked up as that. For that matter, the scale of it looks really off, I don't mean the ship itself, though as everyone above said it does look off, I mean the size of the toy to the stand. The ISD is longer then the stand's height, but there the SSD looks smaller then the stand.

Its name is the Executor but its class is also Executor, since it was the first ship of its class.

That Executor-class ship looks really wrong.. and it's not just the bridge tower. The superstructure looks like it's been compressed from the bow to the stern, if you know what I mean.. too short and too wide.

Everything pale's in comparison to the power of the darkside, hell, he says so about the Death Star.

And ya see? It's models like this that give credence to the 8000m (and lower) figure -- the bridge tower is only [so] big compared to that of an Imperator, therefore, not 16km!
