Legos, Barbies, and Matchbox cars!!!!

Ok, here's what my two younger brothers and I would do: I'd play 'car wash' with them with the Matchbox cars, and then make them play 'Barbies' with me. I had two Ken dolls (so they'd each be one of them) and I had 13 Barbies, who I would rotate being. Usually the storyline would be something reminiscent of a soap opera plot.

Then, we'd all play Legos together, but since I was the oldest, I got to build my house first. I would always use up almost all of the pieces, because I'd build myself a mansion with 7 or 8 rooms, and then my brothers would be left with enough pieces to maybe scrounge together some kind of shack to share. So, my house would have a fireplace and lots of furniture (and not just chairs and beds, but an entertainment unit with a stereo, TV, VCR, etc--we were fanatics--a bit of paper and some Scotch-tape goes a long way to making yourself some Lego electronics), while my brothers had a hole in the wall. BWAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! It was fun.

I still think that my dream job would be to be the person who makes the Legos displays for FAO Schwarz. :D :D :D

Roger that... Lite Brites was one of the first toys I remember. Later, after the board was long gone, I used the colored pegs as little runway lights for those little rubber jet fighters.

Favourite childhood toys:

1) My big teddy bear. He was a panda bear, hand-stitched by my aunt from Taiwan. I named him "Biggie" (as you can also see from my dog's name "Fuzzy", I've never been too creative with names). He lasted for many years, but all good things must come to an end. I still remember the sadness of seeing his tattered carcass unceremoniously thrown in the garbage.

2) Lego.

3) My Millenium Falcon toy. This was one of the originals, with the removable roof over the lounge area and a full set of action figures inside: Leia, Luke, Han, and Chewie.

4) Spirograph.

Legos, blocks, and my small collection of stuff beavers. I really liked Beavers for quite a few years, no obscene references please, they are undeniably the coolest rodents and very high up on the mammal list. I had and still have five of them of various sizes.

Such a nice sister. I'm glad my two sisters didn't treat me like that. Though i am suprised that they would play Barbie with you, even if they got to be guys.

Mwahahah! Nah, actually, they didn't really seem to mind that I was Supreme Dictatoress of Legoland (I think we always named our town Lake Ariel randomly)--make that Supreme Dictatoress of Lake Ariel Legoville!!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that their little Lego guys were the servants in my Lego mansion. That was the job they had so they could afford their decrepid little Lego shack. :D :D :D

Yes, I'm not sure why they didn't put up more of a fight with the Barbie thing. *shrug* Maybe because we played with legos and matchbox cars more often? Don't know.

Legos and micro machines. Of all the toys I had when I was a kid, I still have my space micromachines (almost every ST one made) and every lego yet.

Ok, when I was younger I managed to loose the pieces, but since the start of the M-Tron series untill I stopped collecting I can rebuild each of my legos except for one.

Speaking of Legos, have any of you guys ever heard of LCAD or MLCAD?

They're programmes* that allow you to build stuff out of legos. Really cool.

*Technically, LCAD is the DOS programme and MLCAD is the Windows front end.

People, I do not think that Zaia appreciates being treated as a piece of flesh to be spanked at a whim.
