A "boost your sex drive" ad above another ad for a grocery store selling shriveled cucumbers.

If you look in the newsapaper, you'll find a lot of contradictions like those.

Yes, this was the south back at the beginning of the century I believe. If you didn't worship the bible, well... at least the 10th amendmant was up by then. South at beginning of century = modern day bible thumper missionaries X 10 the intolerance and fervor

It was a dark time across the land. Oh and having the Country's top Defense Lawyer, and biggest Athiest on the defense didn't help. The Judge tried to get Darrow thrown out for being mentaly un hindged (Because of Darrow's beliefs).

This is the same guy that got Lizzy Borden Aquitted, and got sexual Sadist murderers Leopold and Leob life instead of the Death Penalty. He was like the turn of the century's answer to Johnny Cochran.

Hmm. I saw a fairly humorous contradiction a few months ago.

It was an ad for those Hummer trucks. It showed a lady driving one... more footage of it... and then near the end, it said "Intimidate men." and then displayed the Hummer logo.

I muttered to myself "Intimidate men with a Hummer?"
