Farscape is being cancelled????
Last I heard, it was just approved for 2 more seasons.
What happened?

What when was that? Farscape was cancelled like during the summer. After the last new season 4 episodes in January that will be it.

SAVE FARSCAPE. Cause Aeryn Sun is hot.

This was just the beginning of summer. I was watching Space (the Canadian version of the Sci-Fi channel) and the Saturn awards were on.

Well anyway, Space did an interview with with the producers (I believe they were producers) right after they won the award for best cable television series. They said that Farscape had already been pre-approved for seasons 4 and 5. I remember this because they also said that even though they had nothing planned for those seasons, it was nice to know they had the time to fool around with the show.

The fact that Farscape was cancelled was a big shock to me. It's my favorite show.

It might have been referring to this.

[DK] As you know, Sci Fi has picked us up
[DK] for 4th and 5th seasons.
[DK] However, as with everything done at a
[DK] corporate level,
[DK] there was an out clause built into Sci Fi's
[DK] pickup schedule.
[DK] As of yesterday, we were informed --
[DK] after massive efforts by everyone at Henson
[DK] and working on the show --
[DK] most importantly Brian Henson
[DK] and the 3 gentlemen
[DK] here
[DK] that Sci Fi was not going to exercise it's
[DK] option to pick up the 5th season of Farscape.

-Cancellation chat with David Kemper, Ben Browder and Richard Manning
from Sci-Fi.

Oh, and it was reported Sept. 4, so pretty much the end of summer.

I was talking about this with a friend the other day.

How many people have signed "Save Farscape" petitions? 10, even 20,000?

Howabout each of them gives $2US a week in order to keep the show running on a minimum budget supported by the fans.
