Fett doesn't like the NR or spice. And at the time he says that, the Empire still rules the galacy. He is still in Jabba's palace. I think that the NR legalized spice because the Empire had made it illegal. It would appeal to the people the EMpire had ticked off.

In the Boba Fett story, it mentioned that Chewie is gone. But the story was written in 1996, I think. Was he ever gone for a while or lost or something before he fell in Vector Prime?

Also, the story claimed that there are 400 billion stars and 20 million sentient species in the galaxy. Is that correct?

What does Fett wear when he hunts down Jodo Kast for his Mandalorian armor?

Finally, I think I puzzled out the ending to Fett’s story. Like in the Matrix subway scene, and the scene the Wachowskis apparently stole it from (the bar shootout in Desperado), Fett and Solo realize they’ve both run out of charges for shots. They drop their blasters, run to opposite sides, trying to find another weapon, but fail to. They then walk away sheepishly.

Fett wears his mandalorian armor when hunting Jodo Kast. Kast is an imposter who wears mandalorian armor, he doesn't have Fett's armor, although sometimes he pretends he is Fett.

But he couldn't be wearing his armor, it was melted off...

Okay, I'm assuming he finds another set in the Bounty Hunters War. I'm assuming it wasn't easy, since anyone making faux-Mandalorian armor would probably get shut down or worse. I'm just wondering what he wore as a substitute in the mean time.

He has more than one set. In the Bounty Hunter Wars it talks about him picking up a spare set out of a supply cache he has on Tattooine.

And he repaired parts of it, he used one helmet the whole way through.

Wasn't it slightly silly that cancer treatment was bankrupting Fett? They can keep a guy alive when he is nothing but a brain, a spine, and a few organs, but they can't get rid of cancer?

What's more, they can replace a guy's entire central nervous system with a heavy blaster turret, but they can't get rid of cancer...

He was a pretty... uh... "strange in a sorta-cool way" character, though. Just like Fett to know someone like that...

Simply ripping the nervous system out of something may very well be easier than saving a being's body if it is heavily diseased. I doubt Fett was the type to abandon his body, even if it was cheaper.

If in one novel Jango Fett killed seven Jedi with his bare hands, yet on his own only barely beat Obi-Wan in AOTC, then the seven Jedi must have been significantly less skilled then Obi-Wan circa AOTC. Unless it is another case of Jedi arrogance and lack of tactical ability that was displayed in the arena.
I tried being reasonable. I didn't like it.

I believe the Jedi were less skilled and were acting arrogant and stupid. The first few might not have even considered him a threat. And Obi-Wan is one of the better Jedi.
During his fight with Jango, he almost died four or five times.

On the subject of Fett's armor, he has several sets, but they aren't quite as high quality as his primary set. As to Obi-Wan, he's the 4th most powerful Jedi, behind Anakin, Mace Windu and Yoda. So...yeah, he'd be a signifigantly harder fight than some random Jedi. The fact that he still got smacked around pretty hard is damn impressive and tells us a bit about how tough Jango really is. Then, of course, he just stands there shooting at Mace like an idiot and gets his head removed for his trouble. To be fair to Obi-Wan though, Mace wasn't trying to capture him like Obi-Wan was.

Remember, Jango's Jetpack was destroyed, how was Jango supposed to get away from Mace? Run? Mace could just throw his lightsaber with the force and impale Jango. Jango was screwed once he got trampled by that wierd rhino look-a-like

Jango obviously didn't realise it was offline till he tried to use it. Other wise he would have legged it or flamae throwe mace agin or soemthing. He was reling and jetting away and the thing stalled..thus his head went flying.
