Given the revelations about the nature of the Force that take place during the NJO, is there really any room for a new Sith Order? The Jedi, particularly Jacen, seem to be on the verge of a breakthrough in how they view, and use, the Force. It may very well be that any attempt to recreate the Sith, based on the teachings of either a "Sith Ghost" or an old holocron, would be an absolute failure due to the simple fact that the Jedi are moving beyond the simple "Light Side/Dark Side" views espoused by the Old Republic's Jedi.

It seems to be suggested that the Jedi, who for millenia claimed that the only safe way to use the Force was with emotional detachment and only in certain ways, may have been wrong; that, in fact, with the Force, the ends do justify the means. Tapping into righteous anger to accomplish a morally correct goal isn't going to send you into the Dark Side; on the other hand, tapping into spiteful anger--"You boinked my girlfriend, now I'm going to use the Force to rip your head off!"--will have corrupting effects on the Jedi.

So you think the future of the NJO (and the Force) is to become something like a cross between the Sith and the old Jedi?

The same is true of the sith. To be a sith you need to have been trained by a sith. Since there are no sith left there is no way to join the sith. It is conservable however that a sith sprit could restart things. There was one in Jedi academy that was contained not destroyed.
Well said.

If you take the silly EU "Sith Empire" mess into account, then yeah, anyone can start a Sith club anytime they want. However, I think in the movies, there's supposed to be a single, continous Sith Order.

Regarding Jacen.. riiight, he's going to reveal the truth about the Force, that there is no Light and Dark. Those silly Jedi and Sith.. 25,000 years of study, and they never figured that out. Sooo dumb.

It is possible that a Sith Order could jumpstart were it not for the canon prophecy. It has happened before, if you believe the EU. According to the Star Wars Essential Guide to Planets, when Exar Kun visited the planet Korriban 4,000 years before A New Hope, he was corrupted into a Sith spirit. A side note on Kun; unlike Palpatine, he's not much of a manipulator, but he could blow up stars. :D But, as the prophecy hints at, there won't be any more powerful Sith Lords.

What prophecy?

The prophecy could have been misread by the Jedi.

And Exar Kun brought Force power to a new level. Now, Force users can cause supernovas at will.

Jolee Bindo from KOTOR said that the force is a never ending cycle of Sith and Jedi. That if there is one constant in the Universe its the Sith and Jedi, Light and Dark. Jacen is a wanker. He was also the guy who wanted to give up fighting half way through an intergalactic war and his indecisiveness got the Hapen fleet destroyed. His insight into the Force is hogwash. They’re being no light side dark side was only to help him come to terms with using the Force again.

Jacen in unifying Force is not remotely like the Jacen that hesitated to destroy the Vong fleet. And I agree with Jacen that the light and Dark sides of the Force are in your heart.
