No, you'll only catch hell for it if you keep sticking to it after being thoroughly disproven, and using only your belief in your Holy Spellbook as your 'proof'.Invictus ChiKen wrote:I'm going to catch hell for this I just know it....

Well if I added on there really arnt demons or angels and it's all basicly psycho drama and for reasons I cant explain when I do X ritual I 80% of the time get Y results as long as I do Z amount of work for it would that help?
So you know I and most of my fellow cerimonials consider sights like this good for one thing. Making fun of them.
I've meet plenty of witch's claiming there better than me because they can take the form of a panther or wolf. When I push them for proof they go "Well I can only do that on the Astral plane..."
Normally I tell them the Astral realm is your imagnation any CHILD can turn into a panther or anything in there imagnation.
If y'all want I'll try and better explain my views on magick. All I can say is that I have had experiences supporting what I believe time and again, and while I'll explain my views I dont plan to have them posted on private property or forced on school kids.

The problem is that those psi-balls aren't a magic spell (although, no doubt there is people claiming you could use a spell to create one, by asking a djinn to make one or whatever), but some "energy focusing" psychic exercise. They don't glow at all. In fact, the only one able to sense it is the one who created it (which may or may not indicate that it's all in that person's own imagination that there really is a ball of "psi energy" present). Psi-balls are boring things, only good at warming one's hands (because of the way you hold your hands while doing it). Now, cold blue magic fireballs that follow you around on the other hand, would be much better, and more importantly, vastly more awesome! But no one seems to able to create thoseGeneral Brock wrote:That psiball hand-glow technique would really be useful if you could still use your hands while channelling it. No more fumbling for just the right light angle when working on little mechanical toys, on the car, looking for the house key and keyhole, reading when the power is out, flaging down a lift, and all.
I'd like to hear it! What are the things you've seen? Is it blue magical fireballs (I'll understand, though, if it's not)Invictus ChiKen wrote:If y'all want I'll try and better explain my views on magick. Sorry for the long wait on reply.
Most of the stuff I've seen just involves rituals getting there results.
Part of the way the system I use is set up is the rituals are given Scientific (most likely pusedo-Scientific tests).
Basicly if the ritual and or spell must be able to work as intended repeatedly and with a mesurable result.
If anyone has any specific questions I'll gladly answer.

Well okay, what kind of rituals is it? Do you dance around in a circle (like Wiccans sometimes do in their rituals. I've seen it on TV ), or do you just say a few words?Invictus ChiKen wrote:If anyone has any specific questions I'll gladly answer.
What results do you get and how fast? Like if you're trying to affect the weather, do these effects come immediately or after some time? If it's the latter, do the length of this time vary? I read over at that site I linked to in the OP that when you try to affect nature you'll have to wait some time for the spell or whatever to work (which, to me, sounds like the weather might have changed regardless of the spell).
And lastly, what are your own thoughts on how and why these rituals and/or spells you do, work? Do you have a hypothesis of some kind?

Re: You too can be a mage!
Yeah, I've run across that site before. It's pretty weird what some people believe they can do. >>' *shrugs*
It'd be very awesome if you could really "rip someone's soul out" though... like, cut them and a black hole appears in their gut. XD

Pah! Foolish wizardry nonsense, these blind supernatural morons stand perhaps one moment in the face of a true technologist such as my self, or Bill Gates. Watch them cringe in terror as I use my +10 automortar launcher on their pathetic 'magik schools'. Pah again!
Ah, well let people have their vices. But if someone proves me the existance of any magic at all, I will bow before them.

Mostly words and gestures... Wiccans, yesh there the Technobabblers of Magick!Dooey Jo wrote:

Oh I love that cop out! Of course as I understand it the greater the chance for rain the easier the spell becomes. Of course it also becomes more pointless...What results do you get and how fast? However I've never tried to affect the weather. Not ready for that kind of thing.
Mostly as a beginer I'm focusing on the banishing rituals of the Pentagram and Hexagram. It's designed to bring out issues the magician has to face and act as a cleaning house for mind and spirit. So far the rituals have been most helpfull. I'd consider them as a Western version of Chi Kung.
You know I have STILL to hear a satisfcatory explaination. Some say spirits and/or the magician's will effecting reality; Some say innate power that only a few have. And lastly, what are your own thoughts on how and why these rituals and/or spells you do, work? Do you have a hypothesis of some kind?
The latter are more like too use pusedp-science and get violent when you subject there claims to scientific scruintny. The former will allow it to happen, not carring if the spell turns out to be a HUGE form of placebo effect.

If Magic existed, I sure as hell know what I'd be doing. (1 Ticket to Hogwarts, Scotland, please!).

I imagine the results of such rituals would be very hard to measure. Human bias in observation is amazing, and if there are no apparent physical effects it's damn near impossible to scientifically confirm the efficacy of your rituals.Invictus ChiKen wrote:Mostly as a beginer I'm focusing on the banishing rituals of the Pentagram and Hexagram. If you can, please give a complete scenario of something you did with results that seemed to follow from the magic ritual. You seem to be a particularly reasonable magic practitioner, so I don't think you'll throw a temper tantrum if your beliefs are subjected to scientific scrutiny.
