You're giving the Vorlons the ability to put more power than the Shadows cranked into Zha'ha'dum, except that they have the ability to move that energy around in a single starship, which can presumably form its own jump points and can propel itself through space. There is clearly a vast difference in what we are talking about, here.
Just to jump in on this point.

Z'ha'Dum is not a low-gravity world. It has a gravity of 1.3 g's, I believe. That may not be the exact figure, but I remember it being greater than Earth's. I don't have any source to cite from at the moment, but I'll get back to you on that later.
It must be a low-grav world. Fissures like the ones observed do not form on high-grav worlds. They would collpapse. Unless you want to take a dialogue-statement (or, whatever your source is) and elevate it above direct observation....

What fissures are you talking about?

The source is a novel, I believe.

Sometimes direct observation is wrong. All the evidence needs to be weighed.

WHAT? You take a statement from a novel to override direct observation on the show? Does the show not have the authority to dismiss what is presented in the novels, in B5?

The show should come first, but if there is a way to reconcile things (no direct contradiction), then the novels are valid.

I'm just wondering if there's some other explaination possible for the fissures. If there isn't one, then obviously there's a direct contradiction and the info from the novel is overidden.

BTW, I really do want to know what fissures you're talking about. Are you sure you're not thinking of Epsilon? That one had a 5 mile deep fissure, IIRC.

I don't think I'm talking about Epsilon. There is the huge fissure by the balcony, which runs down for a very long ways. I guess you could argue that it was created by super-strong Shadow materials (which the dome itself would have to be made of), but the dome that the White Star destroys during its death-dive is clearly artificial, while the surrounding material appears to be rock. The dome itself prevents the rock from being very thick, but it is supported for hundreds of meters (at the least), above the Shadow city.

You mean Z'ha'dum (The episode, ending for season 3) - when Sheridan is on the balcony over the dome and that huge pit.

I could try getting some screencaps, but I donno where to put em :D
