Fucking RAM!

So I bought a stick of 512mb RAM today. Problem- fucking thing wont' go in the socket, no matter what I do. For 30 minutes I try and push the fucking thing in. Then I take out the existing stick, and try and put it in there. No dice. So I try and put back the existing stick. Still no dice. My thumbs are fucking killing me from repeated attempts. Then, by sheer goddamn fluke, the new stick gets inserted in the slot previously used by the old one. Now I can't for the life of me get the old one back in. FUCK! My thumbs HURT ... my god it's a simple operation wtf is wrong here? I've done this heaps of times goddamit!

Angulation problem? Of course, you've probably tried all the angles... loose plastic in the slot... wonky pins, a little bent, or with sprue, and not matching the slots...

This may sound stupid, but did you get the right type? Early on before I knew the different types, I had actually bought the wrong kind and the sticks wouldn't go in.

It's the right kind- the new stick of RAM is what I've got in currently. I just can't get the old one in now. I've never had this problem before, it's really frustrating.

Okay, if that's the case, I'm going with the warping. It's either the socket is fucked up or the stick has been damaged somehow.

It was probably you had to have your ram stick PERFECTLY level to get it to go in without a hangup. Trust me my computer is like that with ram, i had to get a fucking level and hold it on my ram stick to make it go in.
