Monitor Refresh Problem

Post by DPDarkPrimus »

I have DOOM 3. But, it won't work. I've figured out that the problem is with the monitor refresh rate. DOOM 3 is trying to get my monitor to use a refresh rate that it is not able to use- thus forcing the monitor into standby.

So, the question is, how can I change the refresh rate for DOOM 3 so that I can play it?

If you're using an nvidia card, go into the control panel for it. You should see a tab that says refresh rate overrides. Pretty self explanatory from there on. :)

I've already tried locking the refresh rate with Refreshlock, a free program that lets you... lock the refresh rate.

But to no avail.

Try a program called Refresh Force (or something like that), it allows you to easily fiddle with the refresh rate and could possibly solve your problem. I know I need it with Dominions 2 to overcome certain WinXP setting fuckups.

Why is it so goddamned hard to get little assholes like you to admit it when you fuck up? Is it pride? What gives you the right to have any pride?
