(movies only)

In order of appearance, the candidates:

1. Battle Droid blaster carbine
2. Tusken Raider rifle
3. Senate (Blue) Guard rifle
4. Naboo blaster pistol
5. Queen Amidala's blaster pistol
6. Queen Amidala's throne blaster pistol
7. Zam Wessel's sniper rifle
8. Jango Fett's blaster pistols
9. Clonetrooper's blaster rifle (DC-17A)
10. Clonetrooper's blaster carbine (DC-17S)
11. General Grievous' blaster pistol
12. Rebel trooper blaster (DH-17)
13. Stormtrooper carbine (E-11)
14. Princess Leia's blaster pistol (DDC Defender- long barrel)
15. Stormtrooper blaster rifle (DLT-19)
16. Stormtrooper blaster rifle #2 (T-21)
17. Stormtrooper blaster rifle #3 (unidentified Sandtrooper blaster)
18. Greedo's blaster pistol
19. Han Solo's blaster pistol
20. Chewbacca's crossbow
21. Boba Fett's blaster carbine (EE-9)
22. Cloud City blaster pistol
23. Jabba's guard blaster pistol
24. Scout trooper blaster pistol
25. Princess Leia's Endor blaster (DDC Defender)

I think those are all the memorable ones- there are lots of obscure ones too, add those if you think they're necessary, but I've only focused on the ones we clearly see.

Anyway, my favorite is Han Solo's blaster pistol.

Han's broomhandle, followed by Leia's RotJ Margolin.

I always loved Han's blaster and the stormtrooper carbine. I don't know what it is about those two but I can't get enough of them.

The multi-function N5 security pistol comes to mind, but Han's gun appealled to me.

Han's blaster is the BlasTech DL-44, btw. Jango's are Westar-34s, IIRC.

I could go for the DC-17A... when they let loose, it's one awesome sight.

Those sleek silver ones that were hidden in Amidala's throne. Sure, they'd be useless in a fight and impossible to aim, but they look cool.

E-11 is my choice. It combines heavy firepower in a convenient package, and looks cool.
Solo's pistol is pretty kewl too.

I'll place my vote for the DC-17A with the E-11 a close second and an honourable mention to the DL-44.

Han's blaster, with Leia's DDC Defender in a close second.

Chewie's bowcaster. I liked the Mauser 712 so I'll go for Han's whatitsname too. Found Princess Leia's weapon on T4 intriguing. Is it derived from a RL piece or is it kit job? For that matter what was the scout trooper sidearm derived from?

And what pistol did Luke use in ESB?

IIRC, the AotC Clonetrooper rifle is the DC-15.

Excellent close-ups of all the weapons, which would no doubt help the decisions of many.

Personally I'd go for either the E-11 blaster rifle or T-21 repeating blaster.

Han Solo's DL-44 (based on the real-life Mauser Broomhandle). Not much to say for the range, but it does have greater firepower than the E-11. Besides, after playing through Metal Gear Solid 3, one can't help but think that the Broomhandle, Colt 1911A1, and Colt Peacemaker are the coolest handguns ever.

E-11 for me.

Although non-movies, I have a thing for Kyle Katarn's Bryar blaster pistol.

Hrm, I'm pretty sure he's right.. the blasters that the Clone Troopers were using in AotC are designated DC-15.

I'm uncertain about this but if I'm not mistaken, DC-17A is the Republic Commando weapon, configured to fire anti-vehicle grenades.

It was a modified Baikal Margolin .22LR pistol.

The DC-17 Clone Trooper rifle reminds me of the Smart Gun from Aliens, I look like a weapon so see out and exterminate new life and civilisations with.

The Echo Base trooper blaster is pretty cool, I think it's called the A295. All told, I'll have to go with the good old E-11, closely followed by T-21 and DH-17.

"DC-17A" comes from the OP on this thread.. I assumed that it must have a source, just that it was misused (misplaced?) in the OP, so I was trying to figure out what it may have originally referred to. I don't know where "DC-17A" came from originally, sorry.
