Their latest excuse for not allowing Transformers to use the VW bug in the Nov '06 movie is that 'Herbie is currently using the liscence'. They've constantly been pricks about it in various ways.

Well, maybe they could use some other car. Takara even made some life sized Chrono-Q cars they could use. If you don't mind a car the size of a go-kart.

Incorrect. It was Hasbro executives who were reluctant to approach VW because Herbie was back.
